I am so glad I spotted this restaurant as I rode by on my scooter. A quick stop at home and I was back for dinner at Tung Tong 181 before sunset.

I love this place so much. It’s my comfort food place. Number 1 choice for takeout or simply have lunch with myself ( how usually go) or bringing a friend along when we don’t want to brainstorm about where to go.

This place has a really good lunch deal menu. Definitely add this place to your lunch rotation. The lunch deal is also available on the weekends but “you have to ask for the lunch deal menu” or else they won’t present you with the lunch deal menu (yea…odd, I know). Place has a really nice dinning atmosphere and decorations. Food is average/good but you are only paying $10 for lunch in a sit down restaurant—definitely worth trying.

Tung Thong is so good, this is a great spot for Thai food in Hudson Heights! The dumplings, sticky rice, and fried ice cream are a few of my favorites. Their little outdoor patio is so cute and the staff are so nice, too!

Exceptionally situated (indoor/outdoor) cafe style Thai restaurant tucked away on a quiet residential street corner across from The Uptown Garrison— with a great local vibe and an excellent posh neighborhood feel located just off of Broadway off the A-train line at West 181st Street. Terrific selection of Thai staples and cocktails as well as a good bevy of to-go online ordering through GrubHub and others, for in-home dining convenience. A definite hotspot during the summertime and a luxury for its overall menu items and cuisine … a must for Washington Hts.!

Tung Thong is the best Thai restaurant in Washington Heights. Flavorful dishes. Friendly staff. Nice decorations during the holidays. Indoor and outdoor seating. Great appetizers and cocktails. Amazing lunch specials too!

Very cute spot. The botany surrounding the restaurant is welcomed and gorgeous. I much prefer the natural plants compared to other restaurants in the area decorated with plastic flowers. This restaurant is located near the George Washington bridge, near an area that could almost be mistaken for a little mini Brooklyn Heights. I had the garlic orange chicken. The presentation here is super cute. The food is really tasty and fresh. The drinks are a good price and fancy and great tasting. The staff are very kind and cordial although service was a tad bit slow because it was a busy night. Very popular local spot.

In order of favorite dishes, I love the drunken noodle, cashew nuts, and spicy basil. Expect some heat packed into these dishes, but thankfully the waitresses and waiters are prompt on refilling our glasses! The lunch special is a great value at $7.25 every day and I have been gradually trying as many as possible. The only negative is sometimes it takes a little while to get the check.

The food was good, service was good, couldn’t dine inside without your vaccine card despite that rule not being in effect yet in NYC so we had to sit outside on an extremely hot day however they had fans but it doesn’t compare to sitting inside under ac so it was a bit uncomfortable. The up side of sitting outside was nicely decorated.
