Amazing dive bar in San Diego. This place has classic martinis and a cook at your own pace grill where they serve a variety of steaks. It is easy to lose 6 hours on any given weekend. Highly recommend!

Nice bar and restaurant that is great for lounging and having conversation. They have a full bar and the bar is long with plenty of seating. The restaurant is fun because you get to grill your own food which is interactive, a great option if you’re hanging out with friend or on a date. The place itself is a little dark, as the lighting is very dim. Overall I will continue to visit because they always provide a good experience! Surrounding area is also walkable and cute.

Classic cocktails and grill your own steaks! Perfect for an interactive date night. I love the dark, old school feel. The old fashioned was tasty and I did the surf and turf (small steak with a salmon veggie skewer) which also comes with garlic bread you grill. A fun place!

Friendly Staff, open late!! Kitchy retro interior, very busy at 9pm when we arrived, but was able to get a table. Not sure why it takes so long to get your meal when it is uncooked meat? (Chicken came marinated in plastic wrap, be sure to remove it before cooking (;-) The Old Fashion was delicious!!! And others at the table enjoyed their steak’s. Reasonable prices!!!

I went to this San Diego staple for the first time the other day. It was loud, like my ears were numb when leaving because of the volume. It was packed, it was a Friday night, and I had drunks walking straight into my table on the way to the restroom. I’m not holding any of that against the restaurant. Their service was so amazing! My drink never hit bottom. I also loved the community grill but wish there was maybe a second one because it got crowded rather quickly.

Turf Supper Club is at once familiar and foreign. It feels like a hip diver bar, but is also a unique restaurant offering high-quality meats and vegetables for you to self-grill. I love that everything is drenched in red light.

Met some friends here for dinner and drinks before a show. I’m not a huge fan of the whole cook your own food thing but this was fun. We mistakenly had a large lunch so we weren’t very hungry. We shared garlic bread and a side salad while the rest of the table ordered entrees. About midway through was when I regretted not ordering a filet. Everyone’s meals looked amazing. The garlic bread was fantastic after a trip to the grill. Drinks were standard dive bar meets tiki bar. Service was amazing. Will definitely be back when we’re in the area.

This place is NOT about the food, it’s about the experience. It’s dark when you come in, shockingly so when it’s still light outside. The bartender was helpful in advising how it works. And the drink menu is great!

Get there early to get a spot on the grill, others you risk having to wait to grill. Great drinks and it’s small and cozy. My favorite birthday dinner spot. Dark and retro. They usually have older movies playing at the bar area if you want to eat alone.

A dark and sultry ambiance with amazing red lighting and a cozy vibe. I love the live music nights and feel as if I’m transported back in time to another era.
