I don’t know about dine-in food. Maybe for a good tips they will provide you something decent. But latest online ordered pizza was just awful. 1 mm thin and absolutely dry. Probably it was forgotten and stayed in an oven for extra 15 min. And that was the reason why it was 20 min delayed. Located in downtown Portsmouth they don’t have to care about food quality. People will come anyway.

As you might guess from their location, this place is a tourist trap. The good is that our server was really nice. The bad is that none of the food had any flavor and the pizza was undercooked to the point where you could see raw dough in the crust. If you’re with people who like bland food (not a joke, my sister likes bland food and I would take her here) this is the place for you. If not, go elsewhere.

Beautiful and cozy restaurant but I’m very disappointed with the shrimp scampi that I ordered, the onions that were on top of the pasta were very acidic as well as the pasta, it wasn’t a scampi sauce at all, shrimps were hard and dry, it seems like they were cooked last night. It’s sad because I have been in other locations and we all love the Tuscan Markets restaurants. My daughter ordered mushrooms raviolis and were dry inside too. I hope that with this review I can help this place to improve.

Bizarre bartender that said “hey” upon us sitting down, then proceeded to lean against the back bar in front of us for literally 3 awkward minutes staring into space and sipping water before actually acknowledging us asking if we wanted drinks. Seemed surprised when we wanted to see a menu for food, and missed every point of service possible. Italian Panini came out with so little meat that I had to throw out half the sandwich bread, and still all I tasted was bread and peppers. There was literally one “slice” of each meat that was so thin you couldn’t even differentiate. Chicken pesto panini came out with one teeny tiny speck of pesto which made the sandwich beyond dry (apparently other reviewers have had the same experience). Potential was there, but execution and service were certainly not.

I came here during happy hour for their half off mussel appetizers and a cocktail! The mussels were okay, they had them sitting in a broth and some mussels still had the barnacles on them (which is fine). The margarita was perfect and I spent less then $20 here for a quick snack and drink.

We stopped for a quick lunch and got all frozen foods with exception of the salad. The “kale chopped salad” was not chopped. The kale was hardly cut at all and didn’t have all ingredients on the menus. The meatball appetizer was clearly frozen reheated and mostly bread… the truffle fries hardly had truffle and tasted like crispy paste. We unfortunately won’t be back to try the pizza. The only positive was our server, she was kind and attentive.

The restaurant was beautiful and we were excited to grab lunch there. However, when our food came, the pizza was very soggy. Also, there were several flying insects around our indoor table and one landed and stayed on our pizza. Service was inattentive even though there were just two other occupied tables.

We just left the Tuscan Market and I felt compelled to write this review. We sat at the bar. We waited 40 minutes and the bar tender/waitress Sarah G stopped by to take our drink orders after 10 minutes. We immediately ordered food. 30 minutes later and no follow up to see how we were doing. She acted like she could care less that we were unhappy with how slow the service was. A gentleman who came in 15 minutes after us was promptly served. It was after 3pm and not terribly busy. We asked for the check and went to the Portsmouth Brewery for a better experience. Very disappointed.

Stepped in here today for a take-away order today, around 1 PM. Ordered their meatball panini and was very disappointed. Parts of the bread were so hard as to be inedible. The tomato sauce tasted like watered down ketchup, and there were about 4 or five small chunks of what looked like chopped up meatloaf (definitely NOT meatballs). No napkins provided with the order. The only good thing was the house chips. Definitely NOT worth the $13. Not going back.
