The saddest and most expensive food you can probably buy at the zoo. We all know food is wicked expensive at these sorts of places, but almost $10 for a concession stand burger, $5 for a medium drink (no option for large), and fries are a separate $5?

Amazing little place to stop and eat. Whether you buy something there like the GIANT elephant ear pretzel ( definitely share size ) or eat what you brought from home, it’s a great shady spot to rest and eat.

Food is good, but the lines are ridiculous! The self ordering kiosk lines are long. Then you have to get in another line to get your food!! This is NOT efficient! Was much faster when you just told the person at the window your order & they gave you your food!!

Would highly recommend bringing your own food to the zoo. Tusker Grill is a 1/5 review. Spent $80 for stale bread and cold, soggy, unsalted fries. One member of our group ordered a $5 small fountain pop. They said they were out of straws. When I could see a bucket of straws inside and asked for one of those, they said we had to pay for the $10 drink to get a straw. Highly unpleasant experience.

The line took FOREVER on the Saturday that we went so if you want food or drinks, make sure you get it in one trip. The order screen is a self serve touch screen that prints a receipt that you then have to take to a separate line to give the workers. That is when they actually start to make your food. So you basically have to go through two whole lines in order to wait for what you ordered. They won’t start making your food until they have the receipt. This also applies that most of the other food places that I saw while we were there. I think my dad found a place where you can get just refills for the souvenir cups near the end of the day, but I don’t know exactly where it was. Probably somewhere near the front of the zoo.

They have an air conditioned venue with tables behind the grill with restrooms. We almost missed it. The air conditioning really helped keep everyone’s spirits high. It was a nice place to rest with plenty of tables. They did not allow us to push tables together so you just have to grab tables near each other if you have a large party.

Food was good but I think there should be a better system in place for ordering & pick up. 2 separate lines for each is not very efficient for a busy day. Good food I would recommend the sambusas!

Very chaotic. They advertise hamburgers and hotdogs but had bbq beef and hot dogs. Took us 45 minutes to get all the food we ordered . We had to make 2 trips through my the line had to clean off our table outside which was very sticky.

Not bad for a zoo food window. Ordering is a bit slow and the line was long on the Sunday we were there. The food was good and there was adequate seating.

This is a nice stop for some refreshments. The pretzels are really huge and come with three different cheese sauces. It is definitely something you can share with the family. This is the only place you can get this pretzel. Apparently the cookie is also enormous.
