We are a non-profit cafe that trains low-income immigrants and refugees in the culinary arts. Our cafe is their school as they work alongside staff to learn the trade. We have a rotating menu that reflects the heritages of our many students and staff.

Ubuntu Street Café is a restaurant operated by Project Feast’s Culinary Apprenticeship Program. As such, it’s open briefly on a few days. The rest of the workweek is dedicated to training immigrant and refugee cooks for local work in commercial kitchens. I can not overstate the value of this program. That said, my review is devoted to Ubuntu’s food.
