Phone order went well, average Pizza order w/wings. Pizza was ok. Ordered well done Hawaiian, not much flavor, but doygh was crispy. HOWEVER, wings only served with a super thick, yucky BBQ sauce & mayonnaise thick ranch. Wings were VERY DRIED, fried & tasted old. $20 for 10 small, dried wings is horrible, so unless it’s different for in house, versus delivery, don’t order wings. Delivery person was very pleasant & kind. Thank you.

I have had pizza in Northampton mass & I have had fruit de mer pizza in nice France. Umbertos Pizza in Pompano is worth the drive from anywhere in south florida. We met our server Carter who’s a friendly & outgoing soul. Also they have a full bar.

Maybe I was given the wrong pizza? The food was okay. It was my first time ordering here. I ordered a grandma’s pizza. I didn’t check before I left which is my own mistake but it says on the menu the gtandmas pizza comes square, with basil, garlic, olive oil, oregano, mozzarella cheese and sauce. I believe they forgot the garlic and oregano, and only 4 tiny pieces of fresh basil and the pizza was round not square. It wasn’t bad, I guess I was just expecting it to be great. I’ll try it 1 more time and then decide.

I usually order pizza for take out and it’s always been amazing, especially the veggie it must weigh 5lbs!! On this night we decided to go inside. They were busier than norm so we didn’t have a meal but the wine and bruschetta was ok. No love in the bruschetta, I will stick to the veggie pizza !

It is definitely real authentic Italian food but the guy waiter was new (gold tooth). He forgot to bring out the bread and was not knowledgeable on the menu. Also they said no pizza as it was Easter and the kitchen was focused on their special,,,, but after we order we see a whole table get served with all kinds of pizza. The dish was good and I enjoyed the atmosphere.

Even for a usually slow Thursday, it seemed that a restaurant as good as Umberto’s should have been much busier…the ambience was very pleasantly old-school and so was our dinner. We started with a bowl of Lentil soup which was spot on, and also had a couple garlic rolls (yum!) We opted for the small meat lover’s pizza,which was just the right size and featured plenty of great toppings. Even the crust was delicious! (maybe they use bottled water?) Our bartender, Jeff, was very attentive and made us feel like we’d been there many times before. All of the large screen TVs had sports on, too! This is one of those places that has what my mama used to call “old world values”…which, sadly, is becoming more and more of a rare find in today’s South Florida…at least Umberto’s still has it! We’ll be back!

Great atmosphere but service was a little frustrating. We spilled water and couldn’t get towels or napkins to clean up. We used our napkins that came with silverware which got 80% but then they brought us very small napkins as replacement and it was a challenge. Drinks and food were good but service could have been better.
