Newly opened, fully renovated restaurant that took over the previous ramen shop. Service was quick and courteous, environment felt very clean and new. The ramen noodles and toppings were good, char sui was super tender and delishhhh. The soup was more “watery” than I’m used to with a lot of the tonkotsu ramen in town, but the flavor was still good without being overly rich like some of the town places can be.

Tried it today after shopping at Seafood City (it’s three doors down the strip mall). In my search for da bess ramens this place ranked at the top (so far). All in all pretty darn good, service was quick and attentive, the ramen was probably the best I’ve had on island to date, super umami, noodles cooked just right (not too soft), perfect 6 min egg and a good amount of bamboo shoots and pork. I was able to finish the entire bowl which was probably a pinch smaller than most places but well worth the price. I had the Tonkotsu Original King ramen, the boy had the Tonkotsu Red King ramen and The Evil One had the Spicy Miso ramen with a side of shrimp tempura and a side of karaage chicken (and yes her eyes are ALWAYS bigger than her stomach lol). The spicy ramen wasn’t too spicy (I prefer hotter so I added more chili shake shake, as you do). The sides were tasty too, especially the karaage chix. We will definitely eat here again when I get the ramen feels. My gripe (cuz im an olde nihongo runner is that I couldn’t get a cold beer with it (I LOVE an ice cold Super Dry or Sapporo with my ramen). C’est la vie. .

The soup was quite water down in my opinion. Sadly the most flavorful in the bowl was seaweed. Great presentation. Staff was very attentive perhaps too attentive. We sat down for a few minutes and still try to look at the menu. Felt a little rushed to order. Gyoza was ok. Another con is no restroom onsite, you would have to walk down to seafood city for that. Overall I supposed it’s ok if want something soup and hot.

Ton Ton Ramen, which this restaurant replaced, was way better. This place doesn’t have mabu tofu or any vegetarian options. We thought the broth was bland for all 3 in my party. There are no good spicy options, either. The gyoza was so-so. Will never go back.

10/10 authentic ramen down to the soft boiled egg done right for its price. Waay better than the tonton ramen it had replaced at least this one doesnt look like an infested biohazard room.
