Food was good and seemed very fresh, and the service was outstanding. Not a cheap meal, but that’s pretty standard for sushi in my experience. We arrived just as they opened for dinner so were the first table being served, but we felt very well attended to, and enjoyed everything we ordered. Lots of fun menu choices and my only (minor) complaint is more variety for vegans would be nice, but I wasn’t at all disappointed with my options.

I rarely write poor reviews. This experience was terrible. When we arrived, the “gentleman” actually seemed annoyed by rolling his eyes as we walked in. Temperature in the room was very cold. Food… Simply “ok at best.” I would compare to Safeway Deli. Rolls were not good, teriyaki was sweet and lacking any flavor. Unfortunate as we were excited to experience sushi in Ocean Shores. Big letdown here. Very poor service, not good food. Will not return.

Service was not great. I felt like they were annoyed I was there. We spent over 100 dollars on sushi so I tried quite a bit. The fish didn’t taste fresh which surprised me for a seafood town. They use way too much rice. I like sushi because it’s normally light but this sushi is a ton of rice and sauce. I will give it to them, they use a lot of fish so no complaints there but it just wasn’t that good. I was pretty upset with the lobster roll. The attached pics with the little bits on top of the rolls was my “lobster”. They were just super dry and almost jerky like. I would say skip this place or just order one basic thing. Don’t splurge for any of the special rolls like the lobster….

We came for lunch.. we enjoyed the Hawaiian and Orange Blossom. These were great combinations. The service was mediocre and the food make up for the experience. It is casual dining. If the service and decor was upgraded this could be a higher caliber establishment. We also had gyoza and Nigori Cloudy Sake.

The food was very good. The only problem was that it took so long to get the food. We were there for around an hour. I got my egg rolls and then 40 minutes later my wife finally got her sushi. At least the food tasted good.

Food was really good, a little steep on price but delicious. Sadly, the rumors about the server are true. He scuffed and shook his head at everything. I later found out he was seemingly serving and cooking everything that wasn’t sushi? So he didn’t enjoy having to cook anything and kept saying ‘ are you sure, it’ll take a long time’ and tried to get everyone to order differently. They sadly need help. So if you’d like avoid the attitude, don’t dine in! Otherwise food is great!

I am personally writing this review not because the food is bad because it’s actually quite delicious. I’m writing this because I am not at all happy with the way my girlfriend and I were treated the other day. She and I come here sometimes for dinner because we like it a lot and normally it hasn’t been an issue. The other day was whole different story. We walked in, got seated, scrolled through the menu and then we decided on what we wanted. 5 minutes go by, no one takes our order. 10 go by no one takes our order and eventually it got to the point where an hour and a half had gone by and we still didn’t have a chance to order our food. The worst part of this experience was the waiter went to other people and keep in mind these people showed up 5 to 10 minutes after my girlfriend and I showed up and they got their order taken care of and their food arrived!!!!! We sat there for almost 2 hours and then we finally decided to leave and since Ocean Shores being a small town and other places closing earlier than this place we had to drive all the way to Aberdeen just to get dinner. Very disappointing because I love this place a lot but I will be taking my business elsewhere because I do not consider it good customer service when my girlfriend and I seem to be invisible to the waiter.

It’s a decent sushi joint. The cooks in the back definitely make the atmosphere. Food isn’t bad but it doesn’t stand out. Just really big pieces of sushi and tbh I don’t like to cram my face.
