Uncle Fatty’s Food And Drink is a precious find in Cliffside Park, serving underrated Japanese cuisine that’s not to be missed. During our visit, the Unagi Donburi caught our attention. The eel’s tenderness, along with steaming hot rice and small items on the side, made the overall meal really good. Equally enticing was the Sliced Steak Donburi, featuring medium-cooked steak, tender onions atop rice, and a delightful side sauce, to cap off our experience, we opted for a side of Takoyaki, It’s hard to find good Takoyaki around here, and this one hit the spot. This was our first time eating there in-person; it is a cute little spot that deserves your attention. If you can’t go there in person, ordering online is good as well.

Place is so unassuming from the outside. Had no idea they served food until i saw this place pop up on Seamless. Finally a Japanese spot in the area that makes an amazing Udon soup & Unagi! Will definitely be ordering from here more often!

Excellent food, comparable to many of the best Japanese comfort food restaurants in Manhattan in my humble opinion (think $ or $$, not $$$ or $$$$). It’s a no frills restaurant with minimal indoor seating, but don’t let appearances fool you. I’ve been here twice over the last two days, and even my dad who is notoriously picky when it comes to food has given this spot his stamp of approval. The folks who work here are exceptionally friendly as well.

Food is amazing. Service is even better. The owner took the time to learn my name and was so pleasant. There was a mix up on my drink and he called me back and told me the drink was on the house next time. The pork belly was so tender it melted in my mouth. This man is great, the food is great, and the prices are absurdly good.

Wonderful little shop run by a very kind couple. They specialize in Japanese snack foods (like onigiri and inari) and bubble tea, so it’s great for an afternoon snack. But they have also built out a pretty extensive menu of hot foods, including teriyaki bowls and mapo tofu, to enjoy for lunch and dinner. The food is yummy, comforting, and super quick & convenient.

went here for the first time today after they ran out of the flavors of rice balls I wanted at mitsuwa and this place blew em away. they had a great selection and it was all fresh made. the man in the front was really cool to talk to, he had some good recommendations for the area and was all around just a super pleasant dude. also gotta give him his propers cause he was very perceptive, he could tell that i didnt know the right way to open it since i only ever had them from mitsuwa and they package them different. and he very nicely schooled me on how to do it the right way but he was just being so incredibly unsnobby and chill about it, i appreciated the info. its a really clean, friendly, down to earth and inviting place, top notch service with great vibes. and for my FOOD REVIEW….I didnt even eat all my onigiri yet but the ones i did have 10/10 AMAZING…im so glad the other spot ran out so i could find this place!! will be back to try the rest of the menu for sure. thanks uncle fattys

I only had teriyaki from sarku, but this right here was a different experience! I enjoy everything in that container! There was stuff in there that I never tried before but yet I gobble it up. Everything was refreshing. If I was to give more stars I would. Most definitely going back. Beside Victor is down to earth.

Hidden gem of a restaurant. Absolutely delicious! I ordered the steak, which was carefully prepared food at a more than reasonable price. Ingredients are very fresh and you can tell that the chef prepares the dishes to the best quality. Will definitely come back to order for take out
