Not your average cheap Mexican joint with cheap tacos. You going to pay a tad more. Our bill was $30+ tip. No alcohol. Service was good. Nice atmosphere. Food was great.

Earned 3 stars because I really liked my cilantro margarita, service was good, and restaurant was clean! It’s only a 3 star though for a few reasons. The salsa was mediocre at best (wasn’t very flavorful to me). While the chips seemed made in house, they were old and chewy, and my entree had little to no flavor. I will say my husbands tacos were good! Not sure if I’d come back or not as the prices are higher than other places so I expected the food to be really really good

I had the pleasure of dining at Uncle Goyo’s recently and it was nothing short of an amazing experience. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted warmly and the service was outstanding throughout. The atmosphere was vibrant and lively, the cocktails and the food were simply delicious. I chose the Pulpo and it was cooked to perfection. I would recommend Uncle Goyo’s to anyone looking for a Mexican dining experience that is not a Mid-South caricature of the culture/cuisine.

Greeted when we walked in and immediately taken to a seat. Very nice looking inside. Food is way overpriced for what you get. I understand it is supposed to be upscale but you can get the same food at any cheaper Mexican restaurants. Service was great and the drinks were decent. I don’t think I’ll be visiting here again.

Love the cute, quaint, clean environment. Wait staff is polite and food was great. Chips were a little over cooked but yet tasty. They don’t provide small plates for sharing the chips and salsa and I had to ask twice to get them otherwise perfect spot for any group! We will be back!!

Seriously one of the best meals I’ve ever had. Salmon was delicious, so were the enchiladas, and those refried beans were incredible. The service was awesome, and the restaurant itself is very pretty and clean. New favorite place in Memphis!!

On the way to Mavis show at Germantown Performing Arts Center, we stumbled onto Uncle Goyo’s. A little more upscale than the Mexican restaurant we frequent in St. Louis. Maybe chef inspired.
