I hate to do this but there was GREEN SLIME on the ice dispenser. The food was VERY good. The brisket sandwich was very good and the house made BBQ sauce was probably the best I have ever had. I would have never eaten here though had I seen the slime first. I didn’t make my first drink. As I was leaving I got my own refill and saw it. Which is sad because the staff was so nice and even gave me free samples of their beans and potato salad. There was a weird painting on the wall that made me chuckle. If it wasn’t for the slime I would give this place a solid 4 stars

The chopped beef had a good texture, not fatty, not dry, good flavor. The BBQ sauce had a good flavor and thinnish consistency similar to Podnuh’s. I prefer the podnuh’s sauce, but the flavor was good. The beans were just okay, no bad. I’d go back.

The hamburger was excellent. I would guess a half pound (pre cooked) patty. The patty is not cooked on a flat top. It is smoked. Great flavor, but a little dry. Plenty of mayo, mustard, pickles, and 2 slices of fresh tomatoes took care of the dryness. The potato salad was good. However there were a few pieces of potato that were a little too al dente for my tastes

The food is tasty. But the staff isn’t really very outgoing or friendly. I really would love to see a place like Cobb’s when Mr Cobb were still around. He greeted everyone and was very active with engaging his customers. So, I would say this place is a good place for lunch and has fair pricing. But, not so much on the neighborhood BBQ vibe.
