Cantonese roast duck in Wilmington NC. Not only do they have this on their regular menu, it was delicious. Beef Chow Fun and Xiao Bai Cai was also excellently prepared. Can’t wait to go back and try other items. Owners are a friendly bunch, met Joanna and Issac. Met Uncle Lim himself, he’s from Malaysia and will take special orders for Malaysian food, can’t wait to try some!

This was my first meal with Uncle Lim. I had the $8.89 Everyday Special. You can choose from 20+ dishes. My choice was Chicken with Brown Sauce. It was a spicy choice as well. It had a generous amount of vegetables, tender white meat chicken and pork fried rice. The meal also came with a nice and crispy Egg Roll. To top it off, they have a meal card. Buy 10 $8.89 meals, get one free. Because it’s close to my new job, I will probably eat here weekly.

Pleasant surprise to finally find tasty authentic Asian food in the area. The Southeast Asian dishes, which are their advertised specialties, were excellent. Tried a variety of dishes and all were good quality packed full of flavor. Meats used were tender, and noodle dishes had wok hei. People working there were very helpful and most gracious. For those who complained about the food, maybe don’t go to a place specializing in Southeast Asian cuisine and order stock Americanized Chinese kitchen take out. Stick with what they do best because they definitely know what they are doing.

This was the worst tasting chinese food I have had in Wilmington. Extremely bland. Our egg rolls were missing and the Egg Foo Yung was basically fried into sawdust. I called to talk to the manager and he called me a liar and hung up on me. Not sure how this food has a 4 star rating 🙁

Love the Soy Teriyaki Drumstick! It’s both vegetarian and gluten free (if you have a ton of dietary restrictions like me) They’re super accommodating to the customers, and I highly recommend trying them out!

This is my absolute favorite restaurant in all of Wilmington, and we drive over an hour JUST for their vegan options! The Lim family is incredible and so kind… you can tell that they take great pride in their business. Please go in and try their vegan menu – it will not disappoint.

I love this place! I usually get the Malaysian tofu or orange peel tofu. both great. I love their vegetarian options! First night getting firecracker soy protein- it was delicious with lots of fresh vegetables. we also got the rendang beef. Interesting at first glance but flavor was great!

This was horrible, the only decent thing was the broccoli. The sweet and sour shrimp was shrimp with a doughy thick and soggy batter deep fried that seemed like something you would have pulled from a deep freezer at your local bad grocery store. The Malaysian tofu was chewy with no flavor or sauce. The Crab Rangoon was tough and the crab almost non existent. The spring roll was also soggy and not much flavor. Don’t waste your time or money

General TSO chicken combo. I’ve been eating Chinese food for about 30 years now and have enjoyed very some good Chinese in Wilmington. After some coworkers convinced me to order some Uncle Lim’s tonight, I decided to do so. To start, the egg roll was very good, noticeably smaller compared to most other places. The General TSO chicken (not sure it was chicken) was a HOT Mess. Out of the entire meal only 5 pieces were edible. The rest of it was like eating General TSO flavored extra crunchy pork rinds, you know what I mean. Crunchy and way overcooked. If I owned a kitchen and that made it one of my customers I would fire that cook. Sorry to say my first and only visit to Uncle Lim’s. After reading some reviews online, it might be time to close up shop and move on.
