Best chicken I have had for fast food. Very moist and juicy. Cashier brought her child to work, so was watching him instead of paying attention to her customers. Other associates did come over to help though.

so, i’ve only had the burgers and the chicken sandwich with some of the sides here. i will say the service is usually decent compared to most drive thru places. unfortunately, the food is consistently unremarkable, despite it being close to me and giving them more and more changes and really wishing it was good. the burgers resemble Cook Out burgers, but I’m sorry – Cook Out is better and cheaper. the chicken sandwiches are dry and tough and Chik-fil-a is clearly better. sides are unremarkable as well, i guess the mac and cheese is the best of the bunch but not sure about the texture sometimes as it’s a little runny. i guess i haven’t tried the breakfast stuff, so here’s hoping.

Uncle Shug’s Chicken Barn is my favorite restaurant in Statesboro. So much so that they catered my wedding in 2018!! I go any time I’m driving through the area. I’m sad that they no longer have nuggets but I still love ‘em with my whole heart.

Made a pit stop next door and came in to some Good Finger licking Chicken. We got tenders (Yes we eat like lil kids) and fries. Almost went back for a catering order just for our car ride to the beach.

This review is from my one time visit, but based on my visit and how I was treated that’s how all my visits would be. I tried to sneak in last minute as they were about to lock the door but the nice young man let me in and said I would be their last lobby customer. They told exactly what they had available right then and gave me exactly what I wanted. The chicken was cooked perfectly, it was crunchy and juicy. I opted for the coleslaw which was ok but not great. The staff was super friendly, service was prompt and exacct and I would definitely return to Uncle Shug’s when I’m in the area.

My first time to Uncle Shugs and I think when passing I will stop again. Really though, the chicken and potato logs was great!! Better than the chain chicken spots I’m bored with. The people working this day were nice and helpful. Shugs chicken shack was however, dirty looking inside even though as soon as you walk in you don’t smell chicken… I smelled bleach. Also, they were out of ice tea but the did have cherry Fanta which tasted like a cherry slushie

Driving thru GA & stumbled upon the Chicken Barn: very good fried chicken tenders! We ordered a family pack (sides of fries + mac & cheese). Was really good! (The sourdough biscuits were amazing too!)
