Uncle Stoney’s is a fantastic place to stop and not just for their shave ice (highly recommend their strawberries and cream or dragonfruit options). We came back for dinner and their Mexican options were absolutely great. The family that runs this place is extremely friendly and clearly passionate giving their customers the best possible experience. The care and attention they put into preparing their food is evident, and they’ll make sure you don’t leave hungry. We’ll definitely be back next time we visit Kauai!

Uncle Stoney’s is a must-try. Everything on their menu is excellent (the slow-cooked beef is my favorite). What really sets Stoney’s apart is the clear attention to flavors across the board. Everything works so well together as one bite, and then to top it off, they grill the burrito at the end. You can easily taste the freshness of the ingredients as well. Compared to the rest of the Mexican food on the island, Stoney’s is in a league of its own.

We visited Kauai hawaii and pulled over where this food truck was and loved it! The owner/uncle Stoney was our kind of guy and walked up to us, met us, and talked all about how he perfects his meat! Then after we ordered he walked into the truck and did our boxes up! It was delicious!! if this is the standard he wants to hold he’s doing it up right! We even grabbed a sticker and put it on our yeti here in Michigan

We had a long day of traveling and were STARVING. We tried three other places to eat before stumbling upon Stoney’s ..(the other places were ready to close up EARLIER than their posted hours)… We were greeted by the awesome people at Stoneys and although they could have closed up right on time with their posted hours, they stayed to serve us and it was AMAZING. Such great food, service, and energy! The people working thanked US for being patient as they cooked us food. They were so fun to talk with and great atmosphere.
