Terrible service. The pork was dry dry dry! No sauce! They serve old bread NOT EVEN WITH BUTTER! Chicken salad had huge pieces of onion. Like they were too lazy to cut the pieces so they can b me edible. We were served reheated food. Barbecue should be fresh not dry and bland. I should have not paid one cent for this horrible food and service. Servers shouldn’t smell like cigarettes!!!!! It was horrible!!! Beware

I have been to several Bbq restaurants. Enough to know the difference between what is good ok and bad. Unfortunately, the food was just plain bad. First impressions are deceiving. Decoration and menu look authentic. Service was good. Then…the corn was soggy, fries were cold and small portion, coleslaw felt standard, ribs were dry and over seasoned. They were so salty I only ate three from a full rack of ribs. I took the rest home, but had to discard it. I ordered a side of “Mac n’ cheese” and I received a side of penne pasta with cheddar cheese…not quite what you prepare your mind and taste buds for. Fortunately, we have other several options in the area; if this place does not make a complete 180 turn for the better.

Food did not taste good at all. I left half ot it. Service was not that Great either. The 2 employees in there were more interested in their conversation. When I paid not even a thank you. Which is common courtesy. Needless to say Shorty’s is a much better choice !!!

Don’t do it keep driving! The lunch special sign caught our attention . We got the ribs and pulled pork chicken. From the moment I saw my ribs I knew something was wrong. The food not only tasted bad but smelled bad also. I don’t know how long this place has been in business but I don’t think dogs would even eat this! Keep driving try Shortys BBQ that’s were the best is! Yukkkkkkkkk!

Without a doubt the best barbecue in south dade. Shorty’s was an iconic legend for many years that has fallen into an abysmal flavor hole. UNCLE TOM’S is now the champion hands down. Their pork sandwich is always rich and moist and never lacking on its brioche bun. Must say that their molasses based sauce is the topper onto their taste journey. Have had their chicken and ribs as well … all excellent.

Eh it’s not great but it hit the spot. It cured much BBQ craving. The corn nuggets are great. The wings weren’t to good. I had the spare ribs. Only real issue I had was that my food was cold when I got it.

I have been here a few times to eat because I remember the original on Calle 8. They make a homemade sauce that keeps me coming back. I have had their pork sandwich, their baby back ribs and their chicken. All good. I will say this they used to have a grillmaster who was more like a grill-abuser for awhile then recently they got rid of him and all was right with the world. Their ribs not over cooked just right have enough dryness to moist to make them sing. Please note I would’ve given them four (4) stars but their bathroom has a problem that it is connected to their sink trap and that’s a HUUUUGE mistake being that the men’s bathroom always smells funky…unfortunately that’s a plumbing problem and not their food.

I’m at the uncle Toms barbecue at 12th Street and US1, and I love it. The music is amazing and the service is even better. Not only was my food was out in under 3 minutes but it was like mama’s home cooked food.

I thought this would be my goto place for BBQ since its close to my job @ the falls but coming here several times and the advice is sloooow compared to Shorty’s BBQ which is faster and better. I can order my food and it out n ready much faster than Tom’s. I just don’t understand why it takes long…
