underGROUNDs Espresso bar is definitely a place to give a try. The staff were very kind & offered recommendations. The avocado arugula toast was by far the best I’ve ever had. Definitely will be a habitual customer when in town!

Fantastic service, food, drinks, coffees, and atmosphere. My favorite place to unwind, my favorite self-care treat to myself, best mental, emotional, and relaxation therapy ever. And it’s totally worth the 1.5 hour drive to get there! Best coffee house ever!

My son and I had the BLT and the grilled cheese…. So very good and toasted to perfection! Tried a vanilla caramel frappe and though the whipped cream was awesome, In my opinion, we paid $8 for a glorified shake. Sorry to say. Just not enough coffee taste. Will be back for the sandwiches though.

Very good food. Great salads and sandwiches. They are affiliated with a bakery and so their breads are excellent, and that makes their sandwiches stand out. One of the few places where I will order a basic, grilled cheese because it’s done on great bread. And I opt to have them add a piece of Fricks ham. It’s simple, but absolutely delicious. The pastries are excellent. Excellent soups, but they sell out quick. The view and vibe is terrific, right on the historic, Missouri River front. Really great for breakfast or lunch. And they offer a coffee flight which gets rave reviews (I can’t drink coffee, sadly). Highly recommended!

Love the vibe and the great selection of baked goods. I wish they had more options for frappés and flavored coffees, but the vanilla bean was still good. If you’re more of a die hard coffee fan, without all the syrups and whipped cream, this is your place.

Undergrounds was a great coffee shop with a nice selection of breakfast lunch and bakery options. My favorite was their puppy chow latte made with white espresso. The owner took great care in service and quality.

Excellent place to grab a delicious coffee and fantastic salad or sandwich. Not sure which coffee to try? They offer a flight of coffees so you can sample on any of their 20 plus coffees. Antmosphere and staff are incredible! Make the trip. You will NOt be disappointed!
