Amateur hour in this place. Bartender is entertaining his friends (all 3 of em). Did not get acknowledged at bar for a very very long time, even though he walked by several times. Was not busy enough to justify that service. Airhead bartender threw out customers drinks when they went to smoke, forgot most everything anyone asked him for and is not a good face for a business. I loved the decor and insides and was looking forward to fish and chips, but went down the street and found good service. Drinks are high for well whiskey, but maybe thats the locale

Edit: We ate here Thursday and they no longer do the Happy Hour appetizers. Their Happy Hour beers are also very limited now. The staff were not all on the same page regarding the restaurant changes, telling us different things. They also have a smaller menu now it seemed. I considered dropping a star for these reasons but the food that we ordered off the regular priced menu (King Charles & Fit Bird sandwiches) were very good and seemed to be homemade, it is just a bit pricey now.

We had just arrived home after a long day on the road and decided to eat dinner at Union Jack’s. I was pleasantly surprised by how delicious my dinner was. I ordered the grilled salmon. My husband had th Shepherd’s Pie, which he enjoyed. Our server was cheery, if the service was a bit slow.

Lots of great restaurants on the Old Town Winchester road. This one has a British theme (hense the name) and has excellent food and service. We only had appetizers but they were delicious (buffalo Mac and cheese and sliders with chips). Their beef is locally sourced and you can tell: juicy and full of flavor. The Mac and cheese was very cheesy! Will definitely be coming back.

I have never been more disappointed in a restaurant! We try to support small businesses-and seek non chain restaurants to visit.

Not good! Fish was not good and greasy. And the fries, obviously reheated. The dish was not cheap. My husband liked the mushy peas…but that’s $2 at best. Would not recommend!

17Aug2022…my greeter was super nice and treated me and my lunch date well. Great pub in the walking area of downtown Old Town Winchester. Their fish and chips with mashed peas were delicious. Wonderful day all around!!

Located in a very old building on the downtown mall. Feels like an authentic English pub. Great atmosphere and a large bar. Generous portions of fish and chips, but there was a lot more batter (tasty) than fish. The mushy peas were puréed, and the “chips” were dirty, oily french fries – some people love them, just not me. Recommended.

Hair in my food, daughters fruit came out dirty and leafy (and browning apples) looked as if it was cut for the bar back days ago with dry rinds etc. Expected that based off reviews, menu prices, and location that it would be a safe bet. Wholly underwhelmed. Now for the service — while under staffed, wait staff saw us ask for the check with full plates and did remedy the situation. Felt bad for the single waitress on staff as none of the issues were her fault and she did her best. The one redeeming quality was Alysse who took care of our table.
