Union Station by JP’s is Kansas State University’s first gastropub. What’s a gastropub, you ask? First of all, it’s a pub. We have 16 regional beers on tap, plus wines and cocktails.
The gastro prefix tells you it’s more than just drinks. Gastropubs also serve high-quality food, and our chefs have developed a menu that will make this one of your favorite Manhattan restaurants.

My sister got free tickets for there Easter brunch. Otherwise I don’t think we would have gone the food quality doesn’t match up to the actually prices which are high. While it was free the food was okay and good but not amazing defiantly wouldn’t be worth the price to pay. Then on top of it we actually waited ten minutes before waving down a server to say we haven’t been helped they seemed surprise and sorry it had been so long. Just didn’t seem like there was a system for there servers. Even though it’s convenient on campus I not worth the price for the food we got. Maybe I’ll try again sometime eating there normal food but as of now I’ll stick to other places.

By far the best place to eat in Manhattan. The prices are outrageously good. My father got the platter of meat with burnt ends and pork for only $15! I got the Wefald burger and was blown away. It is so juicy and yummy. My friend got the monte cristo and it was also very very good. Aside from foods, they also have a huge beer and wine selection. We have made this place our go-to for almost all our occasions. It is also very fun that it is on campus. We love being on campus and walking around after dinner. Parking is no big deal because they validate, so you are able to park in the parking garage (steps away) for free. Highly recommend!

I really enjoyed our trip. I like going to restaurants to experience food that is different than what I can make at home. The food at the Union JP’s was different than the regular JP’s and was really interesting. I got a power cat punch to drink and a poke bowl to eat. Both were really good. There was a faculty party going on when we went on a Friday night so the staff was really busy but overall I had a good time. I like that the menu was wide and diverse with lots of interesting options. Would definitely like to go back.

Boy the Union has changed! JPs is a very nice gastro pub that is open to everyone. They are very focused on sourcing local products. Lots of TVs for the sports fans. Great food and very friendly staff. We will be back soon.

The food was great the service was fine. I was a bit disappointed that they don’t validate parking during the day. I’ll definitely be back. There were multiple items on the menu that looked worth a shot.

Although the menu was limited, the choices weren’t all that bad. I ordered the Sunflower Salad with strawberry vinaigrette. It was a massive bowl of fresh fruits and lettuce.

The service has gone way down since they stopped using waitpersons and you order at the cashier’s checkout. Half of my party left to find a table and then their drinks appeared on the counter, they were not told to wait for their drinks. No one stopped at our table to check on how our meal was or to offer to refill our drinks. Squeeze packets of mustard and ketchup are pretty lame. I had to ask for a takeout box at the counter and the lady seemed a bit put out with my request. My Station Burger patty had a very different taste than the ones I’ve had in the past. Their game is slipping.

Food was pretty ok. Burnt ends were really dry. Definately hot the real deal. Service was really really bad. We were there for 2 hours. One person never got food. Several didnt get sides dishes. The server didnt know what they were doing at all. Checks were all wrong. We had to estimate our totals and leave cash on the table so we wouldn’t be late for McCain performance. I spoke to the manager who was surprised how busy it was. When I explained that there was a sold out McCain performance he had no idea… I see a lot of potential at JPs and hope they get it together.
