You know that saying, the best food is found at those “hole in the wall” resteraunts, well Unkos is no different. Great service and terrific tasting food found in the back of a gas station. Unfortunately it is take out or delivery but on a sunny day it is nice to stay and eat at the picnic tables. The spam musubi is very tasty and the kailua pork was awesome. But my favorite item is the pork and shrimp hash.

I work nearby and eat here probably more often than I should, but I can’t help it. Unko’s is killing it every day, don’t miss out.

Best Hawaiian spot in Washington!! Food was great, service you name it. Plus the fact it’s nestled in a gas station makes it a hidden gem! Highly recommend, make the trip for sure!!

The mochiko chicken was so good! The furikake fries were perfectly seasoned, but could use a little more crisping.

Let’s just say that I had a bad experience… The first time he was really nice and we had average spam musubi… I’m from Hawaii and we put way more seaweed and it was some what bland but still delicious and then I came an hour later and he was really busy but trying to put that I have a dash order and he said I can’t help you right now… most restaurants look at the name and kind of give you the nod or the food so I didn’t appreciate the rudeness obviously he can’t multitask but the assistant was nicer … I’m confused with the nice guy earlier and then flipped to this bipolar mode, so I looked stupid and then I saw a soda fountain and it was reasonable prices so I asked him how do I can get a soda and he said that goes to the gas station… So I went to the front counter which was in the same store, so it was 1.39 for the big size and the guy tried to ring me up for $5. I looked at him and said I wanted a fountain drink then he had an attitude and said it’s $5, so I said I just wanted this it’s a buck 40 and he followed me and said I thought you wanted this and points to something that is $5 obviously he wanted to up sale me something that was pricier but I wanted the simple large soda but his attitude and the restaurant guy’s attitude was too much for me so the Dash order was ready so I told the guy never mind and so thumbs down for both sides restaurant and gas station and I don’t recommend here the food is not authentic to the island

I see why now so many people have good things to about this place! The Kalua pork with cabbage was oh so pleasing to my taste buds. Also very much appreciated that they waited for me to show up before they prepped my food so it wasn’t just sitting there (I placed an online order). The wait wasn’t long at all. I will, for sure, come back for more.

Great Hawaiian food tucked away in a gas station. Had the chicken katsu, nicely fried crust with moist chicken. Mac salad was great too!
