Only 3 stars because they can’t make a Philly cheese steak sandwich. You don’t use roast beef you use ribeye steak and shave it down. The rest was good and friendly enough service. Fries and chicken wings were good. Chili needed something. Had a strange after-taste but average. I heard they had new owners as of when we went 7.1.23.

The food was delicious, I had also had a bowl of their homemade chili, my wife and I think that their chili was some of the best chili we’ve had other than our own. This is the perfect Cafe for Northern Michigan. It had a family feel and the wait staff were excellent! Food was great and I even asked for a suggestion and went with the breakfast wrap. Completely met my expectations and was very good! If you are in the neighborhood you should definitely try it out!

Good food but they need to plan better for a busy weekend. Was there for breakfast over the 4th of July weekend and the poor waitress was trying to bus a never ending stream of customers by herself. The food was decent.

Everything was fine except there was American cheese in The Omelette. I’ve never heard of such a thing. And it ruined the whole omelette. I’m sure there are other stuff is just fine. Atmosphere was wonderful service was wonderful.

Everything on their menu is out of this world! The burgers and pasties are just some of the popular items on their menu. We have been to Up North Cafe several times and the food is beyond delicious and the owners are extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the area. The place is clean and the service was great. This restaurant is an absolute gem and the cosmopolitan flavour is surprising in a rural Northern Michigan town. Can’t wait to visit Up North Cafe again!
