Discovered a hidden jewel out in Elmwood! Friends of ours recommended it and it did not disappoint. Manfriend had breakfast of eggs, French toast with Chocolate chips and 1/2 side of biscuits/gravy. Prices were extremely reasonable. Food was delicious. I had lunch and they let me create a monstrosity. I did a pony shoe / country fried steak and it did not disappoint. Best part about it?! They have Jones Soda on tap. Seriously one of the better new places I’ve tried in months.

Restaurant has been good in the past, but today, service took forever. Sitting for 40 minutes still waiting for food. The breakfast craze has slowed down. Watched an older gentleman wait at the counter to pay for 10 minutes with no one there. Disappointing.

My second trip since the change to the new building: waited 1 hour AFTER the delivery my salad for food. I was charged $5 for 1/4 of cottage cheese. My burger had no bacon on it ans I wasn’t told until delivery that they were out. My drink wasn’t refilled until the check was brought. It’s just not worth the money for the quality of food or the wait to dine here. The first trip was just about the same. This was supposed to be redemption dinner.

Nice, family friendly small town restaurant with pleasant, hometown service. Menu is typical Midwestern stick to your ribs food such as fried chicken, chicken fried steak, fish, horseshoes, and burgers. You can order breakfast all day and the skillets are superb. There are also daily specials. Portions are bountiful and you won’t leave hungry. Prices are reasonable.

I didn’t go to uptown Cafe. It is now MI Ranchito Mexican restaurant. The wife and I loved our visit here. Very quaint little family restaurant. Service was fast friendly and professional. Food was served fast hot and was fresh and delicious and the desert was excellent as well. I highly recommend this place if your in Elmwood.
