Really amazing food. Had the “salmon a la gallega” and had the proscuitto, cheddar, and Capicola charcuterie board with a glass of strawberry sangria.

I was next-door getting my hair done when I called for an order. They were able to make arrangements for the Bartender to bring it to my suite. Not only was that extremely nice, but the flat bread was the BEST I’ve ever had. Can’t wait to go for a more formal visit. Thank you for being so nice.

This a wonderful Spanish Tapas restaurant, with their own little twist. For the people who have complained that this is not authentic Portuguese food, you are correct because this restaurant is not a Portuguese restaurant and is not or never has been promoted as such. But they do serve some Portuguese?Iberian influenced specials every now and then. I have truly enjoyed our dining experiences, and will continue to support them. Please if you don’t know the facts please don’t post negatives as its just hurts small family owned businesses.

Would love to rate this place higher but just can’t, the service and ambiance is great, owner who is from Portugal goes table to table. As is typical with tapas dining many small plates/portions that are theoretically enough to share, with no sides, we tried four, octopus salad was the best bite we had, roulade laredo, which is a pork roll-up with Serrano ham, and gruyere cheese and specks of aparagus, breaded and deep fried over ‘Bravas’ sauce which for all its hoopla (buy it by the jar to go?!) amounted to nothing more than some tomato based slurry that didn’t raise the taste intensity of the dish, lastly went with the chicken empanadas and spicy shrimp, empanadas, where large, seemed house-made served with aioli they were good but without a side dish, its a monotonous fork after fork of the same flavor. The spicy shrimp was the least creative dish we had, about six or so medium sized shrimp quickly compiled with minced garlic, some butter and hot sauce meager portion bathing in a ‘How fancy’ oblong bowl with two slices of bread, food truck grade. So overall the food was Ok, it came out in a steady stream as you finished one on to the next. I’d like to know what the reviewers had that was so great and amazing because our experience was just average.

If your looking for a place with a unique and diverse menu, look no further. The couple I was with had tapas plates which were actually fairly large for what I consider tapas, however not enough for a one meal a day person such as myself. I ordered a ‘large plate’ of pork medallions cooked in a wine reduction served over rice and spinach I believe. Whatever it was, it was absolutely delicious. We also shared their arugula salad with raspberries, walnuts with goat cheese along with a dressing that pulled it all together. Also fantastic. The large plate was too much for me to eat in one setting so I brought it home, can’t wait to have it for dinner tomorrow night! I don’t like ‘way out there’ strange food. This place stops just short of my boundary and everything is spectacular. My compliments to the chef. A real taste treat at very reasonable prices. I highly recommend restaurant!

I had the absolute pleasure of dining at this restaurant for a special event on the recommendation of a family member who has eaten there before. WOW! Their food is simply wonderful! It’s not crazy busy, not crazy expensive, but the flavors are just awesome! You really should try this place. If your experience was half as nice as mine, I think you’ll really enjoy it!

The food was delicious. Every dish we had was excellent; we had the escargot, the octopus salad, grilled octopus, and the eggplant rollatini. We also ordered a pitcher of Sangria. We spend a lot of time in Portugal and octopus is very fresh and UVA’s presentation was perfect. Tender, and grilled just right. Joe was our waiter and he was great. We will definitely go back. Just one thing, like many restaurants, UVA does have a “convenience fee” for those using a credit card so if that bothers you, pay cash.

Food was not good my fish tasted like it went bad, not sure if it was a bad day, I threw it out when I got home, I felt bad for the server so and I didn’t want to send it back to the kitchen. My husband rated his steak a 6 out of 10.
