I recently had an amazing dining experience at VA Kabob Restaurant in Springfield, VA and I can confidently say that it deserves a solid 5-star review. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm and friendly smiles from the staff, making me feel genuinely welcomed.

Oh boy, where do I start with VA Kabob House? This place hit the spot when our tummies were rumbling and we were on the hunt for something quick and reasonably priced. But here’s the thing, their sign outside raves about charcoal grilling, and yet I didn’t spot or sniff any charcoal. Sneaky, right? They do have a gas grill going behind the counter, and I have to give them credit, their kabobs had that tasty fire-cooked vibe.

The beef kabob AKA Shami is really overcooked here, almost burnt. I didn’t like it, when i told them about it they told me that that’s how it’s supposed to be. For $19 I’d expect more than overcooked almost burnt meat.

Husband just picked up food drove all the way back to have 3 big chunks of bone in BURNT chicken kabob. I have had food here before but never this experience.

I went here for the first time and got the chicken kabob lunch special. It was cooked fresh, so I had to wait for 15 minutes. I got 2 meals out of this. Rice is seasoned, chicken was good, chickpeas good, and good bread. Small salad comes with it, so if you do take out, the salad gets hot since it goes in the same container.

Food here is delicious but I had to edit my review and take off 2 stars because the last time I ordered from here the portions were smaller and the service wasn’t to good. So I guess this place is a hit or miss. I was still hungry after eating my kabob order.

Good food. About average for an afghan place. You can dine in or take out. I chose to take out. Bought the lunch special that they have for weekdays. Came with good afghan naan bread. Online prices are different than at the restaurant. Its cheaper to order by phone or in person. Their website is pricier. The lunch special is $11.99 online, but only $9.99 in store. I took a few stars off for the item not meeting the description. There needs to be some truth in advertising. The lunch special was supposed to have 6 pieces of chicken, but only came with four.

This places is disgraced to kabobs. worst I’ve ever had and they served it cold doesn’t matter if I ordered the food 40 minutes before losing I paid and I deserved freshly made food. I noticed when I got home it was cold and tasted super disgusting I had to trash it.
