A wonderful gem of a place in a wonderful town. Looks small from the outside, but it goes back quite a way, so don’t worry about getting crowded. Lots of monitors, but they keep a good eye on the volume, so they don’t disturb, unless it’s like the Superbowl or something, then all bets are off. Good specials and attentive staff. I see young couples come in quite a bit, so it’s a friendly place. I like it. 🙂

A local spot that never gets too crowded. Place is a hidden gem in tiny village of Valatie. Great selection of all types of food, brews, and specialty drinks. Lots of tables as well as a 3-sided bar. Very clean and comfortable!

We were fortunate enough to still have access to the Cinco de Mayo appetizers on the 6th. They were delicious as were our mains. The waiter was very engaging and made us laugh, great personality.

Ate here for the first time tonight and was very happy with the food, atmosphere, and service! The interior is clean and nicely decorated. We tried the Baja fish tacos and the Hogzilla burger which were both delicious. Their seasonal blueberry mojito was also tasty. We’ll be back for sure!

Excellent hometown eatery with a rotating assortment of local brews and seasonal cocktails. Service was great and the food was very filling. They’ve got weekday specials. Highly recommend the Mexican Monday as the tacos are about $3 each and loaded with fixings. Get here early if you want a seat at the bar. This is a popular place, especially considering we went on a Monday.

My wife and I love the Valatie bar and grill, we live right up the street and often walk down for lunch or dinner. They have the best hand cut french fries! The food is excellent and they have a great selection at the bar as well. Great service and great atmosphere and sometimes with live music. They redid the inside sometime recently and it’s really nice. We also love all the staff there, reminds me of “Cheers” everybody knows our name!

VBG is one of our top 3 places to go in the area depending on our needs on a given day. Tina and her staff are awesome. They are always friendly and accommodating. The food and drinks are always good and there is a lot of it. The added entertainment with multiple local bands and others is very nice. Put this place on your list if you’re in the area.
