I tried this place on my first trip to Hastings. Location was good, and easy to find. Parking was in a big lot, and lit well. Upon entry I was greeted by a very friendly Host, and escorted to my table. I quickly had a drink and was on my way to the Buffet. The salad bar was great, (and I am mostly a meat eater) and well stocked with all the trimmings and choices that an old fashioned salad bar would have. There were fresh, hot pizzas and a food bar with pastas, lasagna, and fried chicken with mashed potatoes and trimmings. Everything I tried was top notch, hot, and well flavored. Another bar had taco making, prepared pasta dishes, and bone wings in BBQ and Buffalo flavor. To end it all, desert pizza or soft serve ice cream. Everything was great, especially the hard working, friendly staff. My drink was always full, and dirty plates removed promptly. Exceptional service, and fantastic food. And the price, WOW. I’m not sure how they do for the low price. I have paid a lot more for worse food at fancy Italian restaurants. This place is a must try, and I will repeat my visit on my next trip to town. My server was a little out there in left field in terms of customer satisfaction. I expected them to grab a few plates and take me to my table, then she should’ve asked me immediately what beverage I wanted. None that occurred so I just stood by my table till she took care of my order or a lack of! Unfortunately I know they work for tips, and of course she’s lucky I left a tip of $2 for my $11+ meal. She’s lucky I was in a pleasant and courteous mood.

YOU WILL BE CHARGED A 3%+ SERVICE FEE FOR USING A CARD AND THEY WILL NOT TELL YOU. I’ve never been to a restaurant that charges a service fee for using a card. I would have changed my payment type had I been aware of this. Buffet never had more than a couple pizzas at a time, which was surprising for the dinner hour. Waitress was rude and not attentive at all. I had to get up and ask for a pitcher of water for my table and they acted like it was a nuisance. The changing table in the restroom was nasty and had to be cleaned before using it. Not their fault, but a kid sneezed all over the salad bar, but the staff was right there and ignored it.

10 months ago I left a 5 star review. Today I’m leaving two for several reasons. First and foremost the restrooms are awful. The menu is modified due to covid 19 yet the price has stayed the same. I paid 51 dollars for 4. Asked for a particular pizza to be put on the buffet and was told no. Wont be returning.

I’m from Michigan and I have been traveling all over the U.S. I thought I had the worst service in Council Bluffs. Not now. What a mistake coming here. The pizza was terrible even for a buffet standard. The chicken was great. Now the service was outright terrible. I got my first drink which I downed pretty fast since I have been on the move all day. Not having ate all day and drinking warm water, I was dying for cold drinks. I waited a good 15-20 minutes with an empty glass until I went up and asked another waitress for water. I was doing work and waited another 15-20 minutes dying for cold water. I finally gave up and left. Ridiculous. Nobody was there and three waitresses was working. Why would this restaurant allow customers to go with an empty glass. That’s a major thing I can not stand, an empty glass. This was not worth the price and service is horrible. Don’t go here.

We are from out of town and decided to eat somewhere we don’t have at home. From the moment we walked in the door until the minute we walked out everyone was so friendly. The hostess was very polite. Our server was very nice and quick. Would definitely recommend this place.

The food was fine when there was any fresh out. But seriously, $12 for a lunch buffet (and drink) that only has 3 pizzas for everyone to fight over is just not acceptable. Good thing I don’t have to worry about coming back to this one.

Food was very poor small selection,and the employees do not care for their job or the customers which is made apparent by the way they stand around and talk take 15 mins to get a drink refilled just terrible will not be going back which is very sad to say as a citizen of the city its located. But if you are in the hastings and want good buffets, pizza hut is a block away and cheaper as well a kings buffet located by walmart. Everyone have a great and blessed day.

Sat down for the lunch buffet. Got some pasta, and pizza, took about 4 bites before stopping and realizing it was just all around bad. The noodles were a mixture of over and undercooked, and the pizza tasted as if it had been sitting under a heat lamp for the last two hours. Super crusty cheese. Left almost immediately. Staff was nice though, So, 2 stars.
