My wife and I one night went to dinner out here in Arizona at a nice Mexican restaurant called Valle Luna. It was a comfortable place with an outside dining room overlooking a lake. My wife started with a margarita, and I had a Dos Equis. It was wonderful sitting on the outdoor dining deck with a drink enjoying the lake. For dinner my wife had Chili Rellenos, which she reported as excellent. I had a burrito. They told me I could have a breakfast burrito for dinner, and choose my meat. I chose shredded chicken. The burrito I got was very good as a chicken burrito, but since I ordered a breakfast burrito with chicken, I expected more egg and less chicken. It was a chicken burrito with a tiny bit of egg.

Our waitress Raven was not focused on her tasks as a server. My hubby ordered double beans and got beans and rice. My tea tasted fishy, so she offered to get me something else that took forever. She refilled my coke with diet coke and was really late with refills. We had no silverware had to ask the guy who brought us our food. Asked for more salsa, she totally forgot all together. I’m not sure if she was new, but next time, we will sit in the bar they always on task over there. All around the server is our result of the lower score, it’s sad it was not the busy we came at 3:15 we got home at 5:40 so when it felt we were sitting there forever? WE WERE! So much for an early dinner.

For it being our first time here, I honestly expected more out of this place, arrived and was ignored by a young blonde up front. Server was wonderful only good thing about our visit was her service and the out door atmosphere really nice . The alcohol drinks were definitely better then the food, food was not so great, no flavor , very bland, orders two enchilada style burritos , excepted rice and beans on the side but came inside instead. Very boring and no flavor at all . Next time I’ll just come for drinks and eat before .( Couldn’t even finish food how unsatisfied we were, only ate to not waste )

This was the worst experience we’ve ever had here, enough for us to walk out. My family of 6 walked in around 4:30pm for dinner. We were walked back to a table that we’ve had to sit at many times that we absolutely hate. It’s at the very back corner, odd shape which is hard for us to handle our 2 younger kids, and you get absolutely no air flow so it’s super hot. We asked if there was another table we could sit at because we don’t like sitting at that specific table. We were brought back up to the front and said we could sit at the table next to it (which currently was occupied) but had to wait 20 min. My husband asked what about all the other empty tables in the center of the restaurant. She said there was a party of 30 that had a reservation at 5pm. So we waited. The family that had occupied that table left. We were told it’s time to be seated. She brought us back to that same table we had initially been given. Confused we said we didn’t want that table, we thought we were waiting for this one. She claimed she thought we didn’t want to sit at that table because we didn’t want to be next to those specific people. Not the case at all. We asked if we could sit where the family was sitting that had just left, she said no those 2 tables are reserved. Meanwhile I’m looking at all of the “reserved” tables for the so called party of 30, and they were sitting separate parties of 2 and 4. Why could my family of 6 not be seated at one of those tables? We’ve sat as a party of 6 at those tables before and there is plenty of room. Our waiter (Edgar or Eddie) cant remember walked up once we’ve decided to leave. Explained why we were leaving and he’s the nicest kindest man (had him before), tried to accommodate us in making us feel comfortable to stay, talking about possibly switching tables around. The previous lady (older hostess in the front) we’ve been dealing with flat out said no and ultimately seemed like she did not want us there. It was that table or no table essentially. My family was tired from the heat, starving, and just had a horrible experience here. Now what was once a loved spot is now a memorable headache. We have no desire in ever coming back. We left and went some place where we were sat immediately, cold A/C, and had great service by all staff members. The older hostess needs to be properly trained.

Went out for a lunch date with the hubby today. We were very happy with our waitress Destiny, it’s so hard to find good service these days and she was very attentive and excellent. She was on top of everything and made us feel welcomed. Food was excellent I got the shrimp tacos and they aren’t stingy with their shrimp which I love! Hubby got the Sonoran burger which he enjoyed. Chips and salsa was great overall great experience. Thank you Destiny for excellent service!
