Great little breakfast, burger and sandwich place! The tots and battered and seasoned fries are crispy and tasty. If you’re in a cabin close by they also have some small food items and necessities so you don’t have to drive to town. And they’re nice folks!!

We went yesterday to eat a late lunch. We got there around 3. The note on the door and Google said they are open until 4. The grill closed at 3 so we drove out there for nothing. We also tried earlier in the week just to see that they were closed. I never heard of a Grill & Grocery that was only open a couple days a week. They are more than just a short drive also. We won’t try again.

Had the burger all the way with bacon and cheese with loaded fries. They used fresh cooked bacon on the fries instead of cheap bacon bits. They also sell local made candles that smell great.

The objective perspective.
A few places like this in the area but none compared. The breakfast was delicious and the view from the patio was stunning. The staff was friendly and I look forward to going back next time I’m in the area. Also really great candle selection!!!

Me, my two kids and my mother are here visiting from Orlando and we stopped in for lunch . We were so pleased with the warm greeting . Everyone was so nice and the food was great ! We had the chicken fingers and the 1/2 burger. We will definitely be back !

I have eaten at Van Zandt’s several times for breakfast and always enjoy the food. Great service from friendly folks! I make it a point to visit whenever I am traveling in the area. They also have a small selection of gifts and goodies for sale. Great view from the porch!

We are a family of 6 and ate here after tubing down the river. The food was INCREDIBLE! We all ordered Burgers or pulled pork sandwiches and we couldn’t decide which was better. All our kids still swear that was the BEST food they have ever eaten. It doesn’t look like much from the road but we were so glad we stopped and ate. We may make a trip back to Blue Ridge just to eat there again. The owners were there as well and were super kind and welcoming! Love supporting small businesses like this!
