The staff were wonderful. But the food is very bland, out of the bag chicken fngers, ranch dressing was very watery. Least favorite Brunswick stew, and the potato salad has no taste. And not to mention the BLACK MOLD on the ceiling right above where you order your food. VERY DISSATISFIED WILL NOT BE BACK! The best part of our $25 spent was the sweet tea

Statesboro is my home town and every chance I get. I go back to get the traditional barbecue. I love most any BBQ but this is what I was raised on. I eat here as a child in the 60s. My father eat here during the great depression of 1929. This restaurant was founded like a lot of old BBQ restaurants that had to take the cheapest cut of meat and put a lot of labor in it. I cook BBQ for my friends and family and this is my goal. This is the best BBQ IN WORLD.

Vandy’s BBQ is a Statesboro icon! I have had many a good meals here in the past.. I will say that here lately the BBQ and sometimes be hit or miss. Now for the stew.. when the stew is on its game.. it’s the best in Georgia!

Grew up eating Vandy’s. I was back in town recently and stopped for lunch. Got a large BBQ plate. Lots of fat in the BBQ and the stew isn’t like it use to be. Disappointed and won’t be back. Miss the Statesboro mall location and their expanded menu.

An outstanding BBQ pork sandwich. The sauce seems to be a vinegar/mustard based sauce and doesn’t overpower the smoked (oak) pork. The Brunswick Stew is great, too – full of vegetables and potato. It’s been years since I’ve been and it’s just as good as I remember it was

Got the large plate was literally like eating possum the stew was good but the pulled pork was just over processed and the sause was so weird that I gagged a little bit for the price you pay you would think you get a bun instead of white sandwich bread. Went on a recomendation from a friend I need to figure out what I did to make them mad. Sorry just not for me.

The BBQ is great, sauce is solid, and potato salad satisfying. However, the best part to me is the Brunswick stew. Great deal for a small plate. Recommend coming to the original over the mall location.
