HOLY MOLY. Do they have Snoop Dog back there rolling these wontons?! They are SO good. Vandys is a 10/10 option in Carver County. Excellent atmosphere, wonderful staff, and tasty food! Whoever owns/runs this restaurant is a genius and is doing a great job.

Went there for Mother’s Day brunch. The food wasn’t quite what I would’ve expected for a brunch and seemed sort of random. Some of it was really good, others not so great. They didn’t label what the stuff in the buffet was so we had to either guess, or flag someone down and ask.

My wife and I went to Vandy’s Friday afternoon for happy hour. The atmosphere was very nice, and being located on a golf course adds to the ambiance. Most of the tables and bar stools were taken. There are several good choices on the menu to satisfy anyone’s tastes. We ordered the traditional Jamaican dry rub wings which were plentiful and very meaty, and the smoked chicken nachos. They were very short on cheese, and chicken as well. I would not recommend them at all. There was one other disappointment besides the nacho’s, and that was the cost of the drinks. A Bacardi Coke was $9.00, which is a minimum of $2.00 higher than higher than other decent establishments in the area charge. For that reason alone, I would only come back for a quick visit, and only once or twice a year.

A Meatloaf melt with sautéed onions caramelized to perfection, sandwiched between Marble rye bread and a side of sweet potato fries, made the meal a wonderful experience. The staff was friendly and just awesome. Enjoyed it.

First, I’d like to say that the staff and service at Vandy’s is exceptional. Our server was attentive and knowledgeable on my dietary restrictions (celiacs). However, this is at least our third or fourth time giving the food a chance. Each time we have sent our meals back because they are inedible. My husband ordered the Tennessee hot fried chicken sandwich (pictured). He took one bite and couldn’t eat anymore. It was a frozen, thin, dry breaded chicken patty that was drenched in DRY seasoning. So much seasoning you could literally blow it off. It looked repulsive and tasted repulsive. I ordered a $16 burger that came out with a still frozen gluten free bun and a clearly pre frozen patty. If I’m paying $16 for a burger, at least make sure the patty is freshly made not frozen. McDonald’s makes a better burger.

Very slow service; asked for a side of salsa twice, never did get it. Meatloaf in my sandwich was 1/4″ thick! Each bread slice on either side was sliced thicker!
