Spent $50 for myself and my husband. Not inpressed. Meats were gross and burnt, green beans so hot they were hard to eat and mac n cheese so COLD had to rewarm at home. This was the first time I went there and I won’t be returning. Bummer as I love a good BBQ…

We were pretty disappointed with our purchase. We hadn’t been to Van’s in a very long time. We decided to get 2 sides of pork ribs to take home. That was $55. I was a little shocked, but you know everything is high now. But the part that was disappointing was paying that much and having ribs that were very dry. We ended up putting the leftovers in a little water when we reheated them to give them some moisture. To be fair, I didn’t call the restaurant to complain and give them the chance to fix it. We live 20 miles or more away, so I didn’t want to drive back to get them replaced if they even offered to do that.

This was my first time at Vans. I had the rib dinner with baked beans @ potato salad. And a piece of rum pie to-go. Asked to try several of the bbq sauces- which my fav was the sweat-n-smoky. Plenty of food and even though it was a little pricey- ribs were tender and delicious.

Normally good barbeque sandwiches. $7.25 for brisket sandwich. About $4 more if you add fries and a drink. Today (May 22) the meat tasted like it had been in a cooler and then reheated. Very dry also, I assume from the cooler. I have been going to Van’s for about 58 years and this is the first bad sandwich I have received. 50 cent charge for water, which is fair.
