Best Mexican cuisine ever!!! I’ve had steak fajitas in many places but this was the best by far. Friendly staff very attentive. This is definitely a jewel in this old miner’s town. Great atmosphere, great energy and very colorful. If ever in Jerome this is a must stop to eat!!! Enjoy!!!

Highly recommended! Adorable restaurant. Great atmosphere. Food was delicious. Only downfall was the corn tortillas weren’t warmed up enough. The salsa is tasty. I love red sauce and that was great as well. Cute spot stop in and visit when in Jereme.

From the atmosphere to the servers to the food, this place was wonderful!! It was like stepping into the movie Coco!! It’s very small inside, but that’s part of its “family charm”, you feel like you’re at Mama’s table. I would definitely recommend it and will definitely go back when I have the opportunity.

The food was good. I got the steak fajitas. The veggies were better than the meat but I am not sad. It was good. The servers were wonderful. The decor is playful and fun.

Great experience. GREAT AUTHENTIC MEXICAN FOOD, which is hard to find in Southern Arizona. We came up for a day trip from Tucson and are enjoying every moment of the day. Everything from the appetizers all the way through to dessert was FANTASTIC. I am a food critic when it comes to restaurants and this one by far surpassed the expectations. Great service and overall a great experience!

Overall great food and service. Wasn’t as spicy as I would have liked and I was disappointed with the lack of hot sauce selection (just Cholula) but that wouldn’t stop me from returning. Entire family enjoyed their meals. The Navajo taco came as a surprise to see as a menu item but it was stellar. Fun decor and atmosphere. Several David Lozeau prints on the walls.

My husband and I had lunch here on our trip to Jerome in January. The food was excellent! So fresh and authentic. The margaritas were delicious and the atmosphere was cozy and artistic. We ended up chatting with the owner who served us who was soo friendly and genuine. Hidden gem for sure and highly recommend!

My wife and I stopped in at Vaqueros for lunch while on a guided tour of Jerome. In our 70s, with the slanted streets and hills, we only strolled around for a bit before spying Vaqueros. We both love Mexican food so it was an easy selection.

The town is a sort of ghost town, with limited places to eat. This restaurant had a cute “dia le los muertos” decor to it, which kind of matched the town. I ordered the skirt steak dish. It came with rice, beans and guacamole. The steak was cut into small strips and was verrrryy salty. I was able to eat it with the tortillas, in small pieces. Not enough rice to hide the saltiness. But otherwise the flavor was good. The service was typical. Not overly friendly or anything but I wasn’t expecting it. They don’t have hot drinks, although I saw coffee pots and makers so, I wondered.. If you’re passing through, it’s not a bad place to eat. I didn’t try any of the other places so check their reviews first.

Got the Chile relleno burrito and it was good. Service was good, food came out quick, it was decent, and I walked out full and satisfied. The only reason I give it 4 stars and not 5 is partly because there were no hot drinks on the menu and also partly because the food wasn’t necessarily to-die-for.
