A beautiful family of people, serving up the most authentic Mexican food in this area. I hadn’t had a tamale in years since I moved to the East Coast until I encountered this amazing place. They are much better than I remember, especially with the spicy red sauce, tangy verde salsa, and sour cream. You can’t order anything you won’t like here. Also, the feeling of familia here is tangible.

After I have had so many lobster rolls I fear I may explode, Vasquez offers a welcomed variety: Mexican, which can be hard to find in this part of the world. Having lived in the Southwest, I can appreciate some good tacos and enchiladas and Vasquez delivered. Both the rice and beans were great and accompanied the enchilada well. The chicken was particular good. What a nice respite from the lobster and seafood in general.

So here I am traveling through small town Maine and the last thing I thought I would find is attitude. But the woman at the window had a total attitude and I was thinking “gurl don’t give me no attitude!!” especially from Milbridge Maine. Despite the tude, the food was good and tasted like what you would find in a LA taco shop. Some more seasoning (spice) would heat things up. But hey, in the middle of no where, I was glad to find some tacos.

Yummm!!!!! I am SO happy that Vazquez opened early this year – we used to live in Cherryfield and moved about 6 years ago and were up visiting my parents when I heard the good news. They are exactly as I remember them, if not better. I’m originally from So-Cal, so I know good Mexican food and let me tell you, this is it. The salsa is out of this world. Thank you so much!!!!! And if you ever wanna relocate , look into Southern Oregon!!! Lol!!! 😉
