Really tasty! I love the spongy bread that came with the Appam, which was also very yummy. The dosa and the samosa chaat were also delicious. The prices were reasonable. Everyone was very nice. Definitely gonna be a go-to neighborhood spot.

If you’re looking for an amazing Indian vegetarian restaurant, look no further. The food was fresh, flavorful, cooked to perfection and is absolutely delicious with authentic flavors. The menu has a variety of options for all dietary preferences, including vegan. The owners are friendly and welcoming. The service was great and the food portions were generous. The atmosphere was cozy and comfortable. I have been there several times and enjoyed many dishes off their menu. I am definitely planning to go back soon and I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a delicious and authentic Indian vegetarian meal.

The food and service was exemplary. We loved the quality and variety of the food, and the staff were friendly and helpful when ordering! The design is a little sparse but the food will have your attention anyways.

Amazing place where the staff is so friendly. The restaurant closes at 2:30 in the afternoon and me and my wife arrived a little after 2. They did not turn us away but instead treated us as if they just opened for the day. Food was delicious and the prices are super reasonable especially based on the location where the restaurant is. We ordered the mendu vada, mysore masala dosa, and dahi vada. All three items were amazing. Will definitely come back here on our next visit. Definitely recommend this restaurant l. I’d give 10 stars if I could. Thank you to the staff for being so respectful and friendly.

Refreshing experience. You don’t often find good South Indian food. I’d definitely recommend this place. Appam and stew and the parotta were the highlights. Idly and vada were passable. Overall good experience.

Cannot recommend Veganesha highly enough!! It has a full menu of all of the Indian food that I love the most – dosas, chaats, and dishes from Kerala. So far, we have tried the Mysore dosa, appam with stew, samosa chaat, and parotta, all of which were delicious. The prices are also so reasonable! We’re excited that they are now open until 9pm, so we can stop by for dinner. We feel lucky to have this spot in our neighborhood and will be making lots of return trips.

Perfectly spiced South Indian vegetarian and vegan food that I imagine would please anyone with a taste for Indian food – omnivores included. The place is not fancy or “upscale” – just down-to-earth prepared-with-care deliciousness. A welcome addition to the DC Indian food scene. Would go out of my way to return. Easy to reach by Metro, too.

Best tasting vegetarian biriyani I’ve had in a while – lots of caramelized onions! I love their lassi too!

Having grown up eating traditional South Indian food at home, I usually refrain from eating Desi food from restaurants because of the lack of quality and flavour. However, Veganesha’s food is truly an exception. They have got all the flavours and textures right and can appeal to the most discerning palate! 5/5, excellent food! You have one very happy customer!
