Was very surprised on how good the food was and filled me and my wife up. Never tried vegan bbq wings but it’s as close as it gets to chicken. Also tried the garlic Parmesan fries and veg’n fries they were very good. Got it before closing time so didn’t know I could add “meats” and sauces but next time I’m definitely going to try more things.

My husband and I luckily found this place on mission gorge place , now open(soft open) along with a nice vegan market! I was thrilled to see it had ample parking and was wheelchair friendly when we arrived. I was even more thrilled to see a thrilling bacon blta gluten-free sandwich (for us celiacs) on the menu, which was phenomenal! To make it even better, we were able to buy some thrilling bacon (it’s the best, no lie) so I could make more at home (just did). And we stocked up on some other vegan necessities while we were there. Highly recommend. Just check the hours on the deli first, they’re not really open full time yet, or we would have gone there the next day.

Today I got the breakfast sandwich and it was SO delicious. The textures are spot on–the ‘cheese’ is creamy, the ‘egg’ is brilliantly just right (I don’t know how), the has brown buttery and crunchy, the ‘bacon’ is thick cut, crunchy and has a great chew to it. Seriously the best sandwich. My husband, who is a serious carnivore, had the donut breakfast burger and was speechless at how good it was. Also, the food is artfully crafted. Its not just slopped together (even though they were busy). The sandwich is carefully layered and built to PERFECTION. The salt is right. The crunch is spot on. The sauces are flavorful and creamy. The bread is soft and toasted. Im so happy this place is in La Mesa because we will be supporting it a lot. Dante, the person we interacted with when ordering, is kind, gracious, efficient, and very pleasant. We can’t wait to see him again and get some more amazing food.

Amazing vegan food, but the service is apathetic. The other day, I stood in front of the proprietor for nearly 2 full minutes while he played with his phone. He made no acknowledgement of my presence until he was done. I was hoping he would at least say something like, “Hi, I’ll be right with you.” Nope. Nothing.
