A wonderful Midwest tex-mex restaurant that is not authentic but with good home cooked deliciousness. I had the soft taco plate. Three deep fried flour tacos with rice and beans. It was more than filling with fresh delicious toppings. The ground beef was a bit plain but overall was very good. The fried flour chips were a welcome change from the usual corn chips. The staff was very pleasant and there was little wait for our food. Overall a wonderful place to have lunch.

Everybody is different. I prefer a little more seasoning in my taco meat. The regular salsa was average. The flour chips were great and the white cheese sauce was great. Along with our server, Danielle ,She was awesome. My plate of food was very large for the price.

A great local favorite in Fort Madison IA. Enjoy the Mexican and Midwest comfort food. From tacos to tenderloins Amigos is the place.

Food was great, portions were a tad small though. I think our server might have been new, if not then there is room for improvement. The interior was spacious but a little cold both in temperature and atmosphere. Food was good enough to return and recommend.

Definitely not as good as it used to be. None of it made any of the 25 people in our party wish to come back again. The server we had did well, but hopefully he is able to move employment elsewhere as Amigos has only gone down hill over the years. The margaritas were tasty but very small for the price.

Canned “salsa” and corn chips that cost $2 extra. The salsa was basically canned tomato with no fresh herbs. The chips also had an off flavor. Servers gave me an unwelcome feeling like they hated being there. Got a cheese quesedilla that was also sub-par.

A surprise to find Tex-Mex food this far north, yet they miss some of the ethos of the dining. Normally the restaurant charges a little more for the food so that the chips are gratis. They have an interesting fried flour cut tortillas.
