Just came here for the first time and it was delicious! We got the Sweet Carolina sandwich, the smoked wings in the dry rub, and the bread pudding. Sandwich was fantastic! I love mustard based barbecue sauce and theirs was perfect. The wings were nice and smoky and there are very generous with the dry rub. The dry rub has a hint of heat without overpowering the taste of the meat. Bread pudding was moist and sweet with a bit of spice. Not overly sweet at all. We’ll definitely be back! The entire menu looks delicious.

I’ve been smelling the smoker in the morning for a while now and a coworker praised this place. Glad I finally stopped in and found out that they are now open Friday and Saturday nights. Had the pulled pork sandwich and mac & cheese with just the base flavors and wasn’t disappointed. Will be back for different selections and combos. Friendly staff and kept clean. Picnic table and bar top style seating.

I and my husband travel a lot and we enjoy trying locally owned restaurants. I was a bit concerned when we pulled into the parking lot for Velvet Smoke at dinner time and the restaurant seemed empty. We decided to try it anyway and im so glad we did. They offered a few different sauces but the brisket and chicken were so flavorful and moist thst none were needed. The meat was tender enough to be cut with a plastic fork. My husband is a foodie and comes from the south. His response was “This is hands down the best brisket ive ever had”. The sides were equally as good. The staff were welcoming and friendly and service was very good. Dont miss this hidden gem. You will not be disappointed.

They definitely just became my favorite bbq place in the nky area! We got the judges sampler to try a bit of everything and it did not disappoint! You can tell they really take their time with smoking all their meats. The baked beans are very unique, very chili like. The green beans are very soft and have great flavoring. Also, the dry rub on their smoked wings is a great flavor on its own without any bbq sauce. I highly recommend checking them out. Only open late on the weekends right now but I appreciate them taking their time with opening and expanding then rushing and not having good quality food.

Their meat is prepared fresh and in house daily, sauces made fresh in house as well. Definitely no lack of flavor in the food. Best dine in bbq I’ve had and for a great price!

Checked this new bbq joint out for lunch and was not disappointed. So much to choose from and the sauces are delicious. I personally had the burnt end sandwich and some dry rub wings. DELICIOUS!!!!
