Loved this place! I was “eh eh” at first but so glad we stopped. Great service, great atmosphere, food is amazing. Do yourself a favor and try the boudin enchiladas. It’s a fun place to park at the bar, bring the kids for the ice cream shop & arcade that’s also in the same place!

We headed out to Jamaica Beach yesterday to visit my daughter.. and saw there was a new Mexican restaurant there called Venados Cantina.. atmosphere was awesome and the staff was great… I also thought overall the food was good and what would have made me give them 5 stars would have been one thing HOMEMADE TORTILLAS… It really does make a difference and you can buy the tortillas made already not cooked… saying that I think you should stop by and check it out for sure.. Last minute venue change for my brother’s birthday and we landed at the right place. Food and staff were great. Took over an older restaurant 1yr ago and did a great job renovating and improving it overall. We will definitely be returning.

We’ve been coming since Spring Break/ March 2023 and we love coming back each visit to the island. The salsa is so good. I wish H-E-B sold it! Happy hour is great and our kids love the game area. Mama loves the margaritas! So glad to have a great place to take the family out for a delicious meal and that we don’t have to go into The Strand or The Seawall. Every time we have been here they have been busy and and despite that our service has been great! Thanks for another great meal! Thanks for making it easy for us navigating with a wheelchair for our daughter each visit too. It means a lot to have accessibility and a kind staff that always has helped us have a great meal for her.

I liked that it was close to where I live, but I don’t like the quality of the food. It was very basic. I could’ve made it myself and still received the food faster than when I waited for it at lunch time. I was working from home and I wanted something quick. It wasn’t busy, yet my two tacos took longer than 20 minutes. Nearly $12 total for these burned and dry tortillas and tacos after taxes. The atmosphere was nice, though, and the customer service was good. The quality of the food just doesn’t match their prices. Their tacos are worth 2.50 maybe 2.75 at most.
