I reached out to Joey, the owner, as I was having a special backyard party and wanted to have the meal catered. Venice did not disappoint! The food was superb, delivered to my home on time, and everything was delicious! It was so great not to have to cook, as I could enjoy our friends in comfort. Everyone commented on the quality of the food. The portions were ample, and we were able to send our friends home with a sample.

Pizza arrived at table timely, but was undercooked. Service gets 5 stars. Issue with pizza is that they compromise quality of pizza by setting the temperature of their pizza ovens too high, presumably for speed and to get more people in and out of the restaurant faster / more table turnover for more $$. But, in the end the result is a pizza that is cooked on bottom but undercooked on top. Top of pizza shows mozzarella just barely melted, and top of pizza dough / top of crust was “spongy”, mooshy, and white in color. If they would take a lesson and simply lower oven temp allowing pizza to cook evenly on top and bottom, they would have a better product, better customer loyalty. Advise to owners. lower your pizza oven temps, customers will wait a few more minutes and be repeat customers when you serve them a quality product. Stop serving undercooked pizza as a means to get more table turnover and faster delivery… in the end it cost you more than you will make up in customer loyalty.

Early August 2022, we chose to return to Venice Restaurant for their speed of service, lack of required reservations and convenient location to the Playhouse. Our two main dishes, a repeat of my lobster ravioli but now a special with some grilled shrimp on top was tasty; the chicken roulade stuffed with mushrooms that came with a side of pasta with red sauce was also good. Both salads, one Caesar and one house were fresh and crispy.

This is definitely a great staple place for Italian food that is not going to break the bank. I would say they used to have the best Sicilian style grandmas pizza here but it is no longer on the menu from my knowledge. When sitting down for dinner though I got the fettuccine Alfredo and it was the best I’ve ever had. Seriously so good and much much better than chain restaurants. My brother got a calzone and he said it was fine, but he liked the calamari.

The food here is great when they actually listen to what you are ordering! It’s a shame that the service isn’t near the quality of the food. On the 10th time of not making my food right this is why I am leaving this review . I’ll let you guys decide with the picture I am about to post. Would you say this pizza is lite cheese or no cheese? Because it was ordered as lite but I see no cheese. So sick of the lack of common sense at this establishment. I hope they see this and change their ways. Unacceptable

Pepperoni slice and garlic knots were great. Ask for a tiny side of marinara with the knots if you like. Also good for dipping pizza crust at the end. Based on how great these two items were, I will have to come back to try some of their other menu items. Some of the stuff i saw leaving the kitchen looked great.
