We had lunch at Ventura’s after seeing a recommendation from someone else. It was absolutely fantastic! The staff were extremely courteous. The food was absolutely delicious! I feel ignorant that I lived in the area and have never been here. What a great meal along with a wonderful experience. I had Veal Scaloppine and my bride had Chicken Cacciatore. We also had greens as an appetizer. Ventura’s will be a regular stop for us.

If you like an old school setting, it doesn’t get much more old school than this place. A little more expensive than most places, but worth it. Servers could be a little happier but it kind of goes with the atmosphere. What’s more awesome is the owner is very old school and makes sure to greet every table personally.

Ventura’s is a very elegant restaurant. The food though, is not great. Don’t get me wrong, the presentation is very lovely… but the food itself is dry and not pleasing whatsoever. It was my mother’s birthday, so after we ate, she had got the chocolate lava cake. DISAPPOINTING. It was tiny, dry, flat as a pancake, and had NO FILLING. Never coming back.

Great friendly service and server. The escargot was great, I prefer a more garlicky sauce. The riggies were probably the best I have had in the area. Great flavor profile on the sauce. Sausage was also very good. I’m calling the tomato sauce ok. Stuffed shells were good.

Absolutely perfect. From first bite to last. Every single dish (stuffed mushrooms, salad, baked potato, filet and broiled halibut) was excellent. Everything was fresh, delicious and beyond expectation. Great service and atmosphere. Must eat again and again.

Excellent food, beautifully prepared and presented…wonderful old-school ambiance. Server Chris, was very thorough and attentive and played along with my somewhat “twisted” sense of humor. We shall definetely return!

First time visit, and stopped for lunch…. all entrées were amazing, delicious, fresh! Warm soft bread, delicious desserts too! Service was outstanding, very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu, came with great recommendations. Definitely worth the visit!! Recommend chicken marsala, chicken french, chicken riggis with sweet peppers, veal scallopini, greens and for dessert tiramuso, lemon cream cake, canolli, carrot cake, and key lime cheese cake.

The whole experience was great. The food, waitress and atmosphere were all very good. The owner/host was friendly and accommodating. The only suggestion is to give a little more time between courses. Great chicken scarp.

Old school Italian…wonderful food. The calamari was perfect, lightly breaded and perfectly fried. The baked trout was delightful in a butter and lemon broth and the frozen lemoncello custard was the perfect end! BUT….the service left much to be desired….took awhile to take our orders and then the calamari and Utica greens came out together in spite of asking for the greens to come with entrees. The greens sat there getting cold and were not eaten. Water glasses were never filled, coffee was not warmed up, just perfunctory service. And we were asked to leave (after 2 hours) because others were waiting. I have NEVER been asked to leave a table when I am ordering dessert and coffee. Mind you the server didn’t ask if we wanted coffee or dessert…I asked and now I realize they wanted us to vacate the table. The check came with the desserts. They could have at least moved us to the bar area and even offered to buy us a drink…but no, “we need you leave.” Since I drove 60 miles to meet a friend there for dinner, this was especially disturbing, which we tried to express, to no avail. VERY DISAPPOINTED.
