Wow, this place is the whole package! May be the best tacos in Austin with a great variety. Also the Agua Fresca is fresh, made in-house and delicious! Atmosphere is fun and bright. Service is great too. A new go-to spot!

Great food and great place to hangout with family. It was my wife’s birthday and we had a great time for lunch. The server Sara did a great job at our table serving food and surprised us with a cake with candle, for my wife at the end . Very sweet of her.5 STAR.

Our niece took us to the Veracruz Fonda and Bar for lunch. Yolanda my wife ordered enchiladas de mole, my niece ordered for her mother Dioscelina, herself. I asked her to order for me. She ordered me a tamale and a sope with cheese carne and avocado.

Fantastic experience! Miguel our server shared ways menu items could be prepared vegetarian and we were so stoked on all the dishes! Noticeably high quality ingredients, great service. Worth our cross town commute + worth having to pay for parking if need be! Latina women owned, too!!!

We had the pleasure of eating here and it was a great experience. Very tasty food and great ambience. Michelle was our server and she gave great recommendations. Veggie quesadilla from lunch special was delicious. We also ordered fried plantains which is always a favorite in my house.

First of all I want to start this review by saying I am a cook from Mexico, so I do not take Mexican food lightly. That being said I want to mention this is not genuine 5 star Mexican food, if you want 5 star Mexican food only way to get it is in Mexico. Nevertheless for Austin (and Texas in general), this is 5 star Mexican food!

Charming and fun venue with tasty dishes, a bit on the pricey side. Liked the whole fried fish and barbacoa, the marinated pork was okay (seemed a bit dry) but the plantains were great. Very nice service and an interestingly serene bathroom oddly enough.

Lunch across from Mueller Lake Park – Veracruz Fonda (from the sisters who also have Veracruz All Natural). Vibrant colorful atmosphere, nice patio for watching street activity (especially in the evening), attentive service and good food. We shared grilled shrimp and pastor tacos plus steak quesadillas with hibiscus tea – it was a lot of good food! We will be back.

I lived in mexico 14 years of my life and of the restaurants I’ve been to in Austin, this is the place that gets the closest to authentic Mexican flavors. The ambiance is nice as well as the staff. It is my first time here but my family and friends from Mexico keep coming back.
