I’m visiting this town and went to Vera’s for a quick lunch. I ordered the lunch menu blackened shrimp tacos with a salad, and I am absolutely full to the top. The lady that waited on us was very attentive and kept our drinks refreshed and was out with our meals very very quickly. Probably the best shrimp I have had in my entire 58 years of life.

It feels like a family owned restaurant, they’re new to the area. I’m not sure if it is. The food was outstanding. The prices are average. There was just a “ regular clientele” feel to the place. I bet a lot of locals eat here on a pretty regular basis. Our server was so sweet and helpful.

Great food and super friendly servers. Like most other businesses during these Covid times they’re suffering due to lack of help. We have loved our food and every visit except the fact that we had an “issue” and although we were understanding, Management never came out to address us. What further aggravated the situation was some obvious “regulars” who were sitting there trying to downplay the situation knowing full well if the same had happened to them it wouldn’t big such a small deal. Especially with the way the servers were also taken aback. We will return because we love the food but Management should have came and addressed us.

Ordered takeout of fried catfish and hush puppies. It was plenty enough for two. It was prepared perfectly. The included salad was no slouch – a nice surprise. Order was prepared quickly.

The Lunch Specials were $11.99 ,Fairly prices. THE SERVICE WAS QUICK & EFFICENT. FOOD SERVED FRESH & HOT. THE HAMBURGER STEAK WAS JUICY & TASTY, MASHED POTATOES WERE OK,THE GRAVY WAS A LIL SALTY–TASTED LIKE CANNED–CAMBELLS SOUP LIKE. BUT OVERALL A NICE LUNCH. THE CEASER SALAD WAS VERY GOOD, SERVED ON A COLD PLATE-ADDED A NICE TOUCH ,ALONG WITH CROUTONS. SEE POSTED PICS…THE FRIED SHRIMP BASKET WAS GOOD, GOOD BATTER, LOTS OF FRIES, BUTTERED TOAST. THE RESTROOM WAS NOT TO CLEAN, URINE SMELL , WET FLOORS– THATS CUSTOMERS DOING, BUT MANAGEMENT SHOULD DO AN HOURLY INSPECTION. TO RID URINE SMELL. HOWEVER A PLUS WAS: HAD PAPER TOWELS, SOAP, HOT WATER WHICH WAS ACCOMMODATING.
