I ordered here during the day for their lunch special which is over around 4-4:30pm and got a chicken cheesesteak combo which came with fries and a bottled canada dry ginger ale. This cheesesteak was one of the best ones i’ve had in a long time, i will say it could have had a little more ketchup on the actual sandwich but it wasn’t as dry as you’d think plus they did give me an extra side of ketchup in a sauce cup. Depending on how much food you eat this is shareable between two people or you can eat some now and eat the rest later. The price point is about $15 and some change give or take which includes fries and a bottled drink. I will definitely be ordering again when i’m in the area without a doubt.

My salad was delicious (extremely fresh and the chicken was tender and cooked to perfection) but wasn’t what I ordered. The owner then made the salad I initially ordered on the house and packed it up to go. He also gave us a slice of pizza to try which was absolutely delicious.

The last time that I had bought pizza from Verona was literally decades ago , when they were on the other side of West Chester Pike and the pizza was great . Well , around 2014 they moved across the pike but I hadn’t bought in there until today . The place is spotless inside , well organized , bright and cheerful . The young lady at the counter was wonderful and my large cheese pizza was great , and they honored their advertised price of ten dollars . The parking was excellent ! What a great place !

Different cheesesteak #1010 in the last four years. I was shocked how much I liked this cheesesteak. I was starving which can be very good or very bad for the cheesesteak. It did NOT pass the price or eye test but son of a gun I liked it. The roll looked bready but collapsed nicely around the meat. I would have liked more meat but it had a lot of meat flavor. The cheese, onions and mushrooms all kind of got lost but weren’t really missed. I would have liked to save whatever the mushrooms cost.

I have ordered from them on several occasions in the past without a problem. Tonight I placed my regular order, a vegetarian pizza. It arrived on time. When I began to eat the 1st slice I noticed a weird aftertaste. I soon recognized I was tasting the burnt crust. I tried another slice and it too was burnt. I called grubhub to report what had happened and they refunded the cost of the pizza. About 15 minutes later I received a phone call from a manager who began to question why he received a notification there was a problem with my order. I explained what happened and he immediately began telling me it couldn’t be possible based on how the pizzas are prepared. He became hostile and argumentative with me. I calmly explained that I had no reason to lie. I even offered to send him pictures to prove it. He condescendingly said “yeah send me the pics because there’s no way” and hung up on me. I immediately sent him pictures and waited for him to call back. He NEVER did. So even though I had proof, NO ONE called to apologize or even acknowledge my experience. I sent the pictures to 5 other people and asked if they thought the pizza was burnt, all 5 said YES! I expected better from you Verona, I didn’t deserve your hostility and blatant disrespect. Horrible customer service to say the least. Never again! I will never patronize your establishment again, nor will I ever recommend it. Do better!

The food is definitely a decent quality and totally delicious. The store is exceptionally clean and organized. The staff is friendly and helpful. You may pay a bit more here but in my opinion it is definitely worth it. My favorite is the pesto Pete chicken bowl .
