Interesting place as it once was Mona Lisa. Reservations at 5:30 pm turned into 6:45 pm but it is a soft opening for the restaurant. A new place so I expect some hiccups. My summary was slow service and just finished my salad so we shall see. The chicken Marsala looked delicious, but the mushrooms were undercooked, but the sauce was excellent and the chicken was tender. So I asked if the mushrooms could be cooked a little longer and I received a fresh plate with fewer mushrooms and the chicken was over cooked but the sauce yummy; I asked for more mushrooms and got them. Yummy! My husband had the veal and shrimp dish which he enjoyed. The calamari dish was flavorful, but chewy. And the salad was fresh. The overall experience was good, but they do have some fine-tuning to do. Ambience is OK, fresh, compared to what it was once before, as Mona Lisa. A few noises actually bothered me, the doors going to the kitchen made lots of noise as you were sitting at the bar and the front door because all of them rock back-and-forth and slam and I don’t think anybody recognizes that but it’s distracting.

We Had a wonderful experience at the brand new Verri’s Italian Ristorante. I had the chicken marsala. The chicken was very tender, the marsala was savory and the mushroom were well defined with mushroom flavor and just the right texture. Dish paired well with the Chiante that was recommended. The ambiance was romantic and it is a great remodeling of the former Mona Lisa!

We called in a take out order and when my husband went to pick it up the person who took the order said she never put it in. He didn’t get much of an apology. He waited about 20 minutes for them to prepare our food and when he got home it was not very hot. ( we live about 10 minutes from the restaurant). I had the eggplant Parmesan, which was good and my husband had the meatball appetizer what she enjoyed, but said is lasagna was extremely salty and I couldn’t finish it. Overall, not a great experience. I should have just cooked dinner and we would’ve enjoyed it a lot more.

We’ve been in Hendersonville for 14 years now. Mona Lisa was always are go to Italian restaurant always a great place and we knew Franco and Sandy well. Since the COVID fiasco , like many places, Mona Lisa went down rapidly.

First time since Mona Lisa Closed. Was upset when Mona Lisa quit doing pizza. Especially the stuffed. Verri’s has a star pizza with knotted ends stuffed with ricotta. Really good. Cesar salad was more than enough for 2. And the dressing was homemade and we definitely tasted the anchovies. We’d go back to have a meal.

Wonderful from start to finish. We went last night for a quick dinner. I highly recommend the fettuccine Alfredo and the house salad. My family loved their meals, too. We also ordered the gelato for dessert. We were skeptical at first because the chef mixes a ton of favors together with a splash of brandy. Somehow, all the flavors merged well together and we ate it all. Definitely make a reservation!

We had an excellent dinner here. The rigatoni was spot on and the ravioli had a flavorful creamy sauce with walnuts. My husband and I split a Cesar salad. Everything was fabulous, including the mixed drinks. It is a bit on the pricey side, but it was a special treat for us. We will definitely be back. If you are in the mood for some delicious Italian, look no further. Our service was also great. The new owner has really fixed this place up nicely.

Great atmosphere and service. Ordered veal Marsala. The veal was like a tough flank steak. Sent it back and didn’t get charged. Their Marsala sauce with mushrooms was awesome. My friend had shrimp and pasta with red sauce. Shrimp Fra Diavolo which was excellent. Highly recommend even though I had a bad veal. Just the luck I guess. Will go back.
