We were excited to come here and we enjoyed the chicken empanadas and the green plantains. We also got the fried yucca which was delicious and so different from French fries. The texture is chewy and still crunchy. It’s wonderful. We also got the black bean soup which was very tasty but lukewarm with no sour cream or onions. The Oxtail dish sas a disappointment as it also was like warm and we returned it. Finally I got the Cuban sandwich which was outstanding. Gooey swiss cheese with both pork and ham inside a chewy roll and pressed down to perfection. Yeah it was good. The fries that came with it were eh.

I came for dinner with some of my girlfriends and this was my first time here. I hadn’t had Cuban food in a long time so this was a nice treat. I ordered the shrimp with garlic sauce and it was good, but a smaller portion that I had anticipated. It came with plantains which were very sweet and delicious.

Each moment was great. We got seated immediately, our drinks along with bread showed up soon after. Entrees were hot, delectable and well served. The group of staff works well together. Highly recommend this location for its service! Parking is limited but free. Additional meter parking available.

Amazing garlic pork (#1)! Black beans are the best. This dish is so delicious that my husband and I always order one plate each. Then we have great leftovers. Plantains are a great “counter-flavor” to the garlic sauce.

Solid all around. Totally casual down-to-earth atmosphere and very welcoming to all walks of life. Have explored about half of the menu so far and haven’t had an unsatisfactory dish yet. Without question, the Garlic Chicken dish is the house special and best bet. No matter what you order and no matter the number in your party, you’d be making a mistake not to have at least one plate of this chicken. Service is quick, attentive and professional…and not saccharine sweet…which is to my personal taste. Place has been around forever, in multiple locations. There’s a reason for that. Enjoy!
