Everything about this place was excellent. The food is Authentic Italian not pizzeria food. Portions are generous and the service was Excellent. They fill your cannolis right before they serve you . We come to the area twice a year and will come back here to eat maybe even more than twice a year!

Portions were child size for the expensive meal without even a salad. No AC turned on, had a couple of fans on and we were dripping in sweat. Waitress was also sweating! Pizza was an individual size for $14.

We made reservations for Saturday before goingt to the theater. There was really no need since the restaurant was mostly empty. The decor is rich old world. Very nice but more attention could be paid to keeping the window crannies cleaner. We ordered the fried calamari appetizer. The calamari was very rubbery and it could have been fried a bit more. The marinara sauce was served in a plastic cup which seemed weird given that the tables are set fairly elegantly. Regardless, the sauce was good. I had the cavateli with broccoli rabe and sausage. You could tell that it was prepared to order though it lacked flavor. I also thought the sausage could have been browned to add flavor. After fixing it up with parmesan, salt and pepper, it turned out ok. The same for my wife’s linguine with crab and scallops. Again, lacked flavor. Prices are reasonable.

So, there is a beautiful scenic hike from New Hope to Stockton . About one hour and 15 minutes walk. We did that and enjoyed the beautiful colors and lights . Got to Stockton , got a beer at the local brewery. The plan was to get an Uber back …NO drivers around , phone is 1% only , it is getting dark and cold . Boyfriend wants me to walk back another hour and change to the car. No, thank you. He goes. I stay and entered this cozy, romantic restaurant, explained the situation . Not only did they get me a charger for my phone , but allowed me to sit and sip wine while waiting for my rescuer. While waiting , I ordered the truly delicious Fennel Salad (Finocchio) accompanied by freshly baked rosemary bread with extra virgin olive oil. Trying to be supportive , I call and recite the menu for him. He asks me to put the order for the Grilled salmon with basil lemon sauce ,and I will have the Pet mussels. When he arrives from his adventure , the warm and nicely cooked meal is waiting for us. What a treat! Great food, accommodating , kind and sympathetic service makes up for our miscalculated expedition! I recommend Via Ponte , predicament or not !

Incredible food. Beautiful Artwork. Loved the jazz music. staff was so kind and helpful. Definitely recommend. I hesitate getting Italian food anywhere outside of my mom’s home cooked Italian food but this was so delicious. Calamari was fresh and lightly breaded. Pasta and dessert were yummy yummy.

Awesome restaurant. Went for a private event and were taken very good care of. The chef came out and talked to us and was very insightful and personable. Will be returning.

Via Ponte is a wonderful BYOB. The mussels appetizer was excellent. The pizza was even better. Outstanding thin crust, perfectly crispy. I can’t wait to go back again!
