WOW! I wanted authentic delicious Italian food and this place delivered. The food was amazing very flavorful and great portions. The sangria was also great. Our server Lauren made ordering so simple between her Italian accent, her knowledge of the food, and her upbeat kind personality I could not have asked for more. Her food recommendations were on point. The kids really liked their cheese pizza and sitting out on the deck was a sweet treat! We will be back and encourage others to go visit this gem!

Service was amazing here, and the prices were really reasonable for the area! My Bolognese sauce was a little too salty (I’m a salt fiend, so it must’ve been REALLY salty for the average person). My sis got the gnocchi and she thought the sauce was too sweet, and the burrata on top was cold. But it’s very likely that we caught the chef on a bad night, because so many others have had great things to say about the food. Again, service was the best part. Great place overall!

This place was great very authentic Italian. The service here was phenomenal. The food was very good I recommend the gnocchi with pesto it was awesome, they make their own chimichurri oil it is really good. The dessert was very good their tiramisu is definitely worth having but have to say the cannoli was one of the best I’ve ever had. We had a very nice table in the corner next to the window. The prosciutto and burrata appetizer was it amazing I wanted to try a couple other things but was way too full. My wife ended up taking stuff home. We will definitely be back

The food was very good, We had the sea bass special and I had scallops. The service was excellent, We ordered a great bottle of wine and it was a good meal, but it was expensive, so it should have been, right? We sat on the patio which was rather pleasant.

I’ve visited just one time (last weekend) but I can already tell that Via Vai will be one of my favorite restaurants in Carlsbad – the food was fantastic, they have a lovely patio and with very cozy seating inside, the service was excellent, they have a very good wine selection and I loved the menu options. We are definitely going back – soon.
