Food was good. I ordered the 3 meat plate and split it with my son. We got the smoked sausage, brisket and chicken with corn and green beans as the side. The chicken (we got a breast and wing)was a bit dry but it was delicious. The brisket pieces we got, again, a little bit dry but the flavor was great. The sausage was great, the moistest of the 3 meats. The veggies (corn and green beans) reminded me of lunchroom veggies, just boiled in the pan and maybe a bit of seasoning but nothing to write home about.

Mediocre food with poor customer service. Employees are curt with customers and seem unhappy. Food was edible but it was the worst brisket I’ve had in Austin so far. Brisket had very little flavor and an odd texture. Chicken servings were tiny and mostly bone. The pork ribs were the best things we ordered but even they were only average and a Texas bbq place that can’t do beef right isn’t worth a second visit.

The attention was very friendly. The place is an old style, but the brisket was very dry, the salad was good, the ribs were normal. It seems to me that the prices are the same as other normal BBQs in the city, but the food is not that good.

This has got to be the VERY WORST experience with Vic’s ever. Came in for take out brisket sandwich and beans. By the time I hit the road and thought I was going to enjoy the meal,,, the bottom fell out. Beans scattered all over the bag, the sandwich itself was 95 % fat and was totally the opposite. I Will never ever stop here again.

Just ordered a “chopped brisket” sandwich at the Pecan Festival. Worst chopped brisket I’ve ever had. More like a Jr. sloppy joe. And it was $12 plus $2 tip ($14) Took two bites and threw it away. Feel bad about spending my money there.

So I wasn’t expecting this place to be as amazing as it was, the brisket was the best I’ve ever had!! Even better than the one I smoke! Ribs were great, staff were so friendly! If I lived here I’d go all the time! Oh and this is another lunch break, food is ready, grab and go, whatever timeframe you have is up to you!

The food was bland, for the first bbq in Texas I was trying to do something close to my hotel and not impressed…guess this set the tone so far for what I’ll expect in Texas. Brisket was cold and tough. Beans tasted like beans. No salt nor flavoring in anything… pretty bummed

Fyi price varies often. Below is a 3 meat meal. I received 1 rib and sausage (half a link), and 2 slices of brisket for $23. The potatoe salad was really mushy and the corn hard. Consider spending your money elsewhere for a more fulfilling meal. Not to mention the customer service is below average.
