We stop at the Vida Cafe whenever we travel up the McKenzie!! I lived in Vida back in the 60’s. I remember the old Vida Cafe and the Cline’s. Their breakfasts are excellent!! I highly recommend! I had the veggie omelette. Best I’ve ever had!!

Had the chicken fried steak….it’s to die for! In house hand breaded steak! The flavor of the steak and gravy was phenomenal! This was my first time here and I travel a TON, so I always get chicken fried steak wherever I go. This here is now on my top 2 I’ve EVER had!

Best restaurant breakfast I’ve had in a long time!! Chicken fried steak was huge with a delightfully crispy crust and well seasoned. The pancakes are always great here. My home fries skillet was delicious. The home fries were crispy yet nice and creamy inside. Vida Cafe’s homemade gravy covered the plate! I’m coming back again!

Who cares about the atmosphere when you have biscuits and gravy this good? I had the McKenzie Scrambler and it was amazing. The others in my party were also equally pleased with their breakfast choices.

My Family was visiting the Eugene area and staying in a home along the McKenzie River in Vida. We stopped for breakfast at the Vida Cafe which was one of the recommendations for local dining from our host; it was one of the best meals we had that week! The day was raining & there was a 15 minute wait, and the owner Kelly offered to have us wait in our car & she came out into the rain herself when our table was ready. On our last day out of town we stopped again & she has her husband, the chef, make our daughter an extra special pancake that she requested. Great food, lovely owners, and don’t skip on a slice of Kelly’s fresh-baked pie! We had the Lemon Marionberry…Delicious!

The worst customer service in my life. Dont go if you have over 4 people. My husband myself and our 2 teens and 2 children went to have breakfast today for fathers day. I even called in advance to make sure they were open and available. We drove from an hour away because we heard the food was great. Immediately upon arriving we were told because they were full they would seat 4 of us until more space was available and the others could wait in the car. My 2 teens were ok with that. We were waiting for another table to come available and the waitress told us we had to order food and that we couldn’t wait and that if our kids wanted to eat they could eat separate from us. She said we weren’t allowed to order at the same time or sit together. What a joke. I asked if our littles could sit on our lap and she said no. Not worth the trip ruined breakfast.. I wouldn’t go back if somone paid me to. Its ok ikes pizza got 130.00 this morning and the pizza was great, great customer service, right down the road with enough room for everyone. Honestly I hope the owner sees this and is ashamed of how she treated us in front of everyone.

This is a 10 /10. Do not pass this cafe without stopping. My only complaint would be that I’d like it open a little later than 3 pm instead of 2. Otherwise, it’s a great breakfast and lunch spot.

Don’t blink, or you’ll miss it! A hidden gem with spot-on service and delicious food. They have a small dining room. If it’s full, it’s worth the wait!
