If you happen to pass by this small town called Globe in Arizona and need a coffee fix, don’t bother to go to Starbucks. Instead I would recommend this cute little cafe called Vida. The coffee is good. The baristas are friendly. Whenever I pass by a town or city I always prefer to check out their local stores and meeting real people. It’s just a great way to connect and to learn about the people, the culture and the area. Sometimes visiting a cafe or a store is not just about consuming the product. Don’t get me wrong, their product is good too, but I think the vibe, the human connection, the stories and the relationships are just as important. And as for me, this is a joyful place.

This is a very cosy and friendly little cafe at the heart of the town. Surprisingly large choice of coffee, tea and iced drinks are served in real ceramic mugs with breakfast and lunch menu. I had a bagel sandwich with bacon, cheese and egg. Seating is somewhat limited but you have a choice of cosy indoor seating with children’s play area or outdoor seating with a view of lively town activities.

I came here one time and will never be back. I made an online order and walked in the shop to pick it up with a line out the door. I walked to the pickup area and waited over 10 mins for the staff to even acknowledge me. When I finally got my drink, the ice was all melted and I couldn’t even drink my coffee. They told me “next time just come to the register to pick it up.” So I am supposed to cut a long line that is outside the door and interrupt someone else’s order without even being acknowledged, or wait in a long line even though I preordered? No thanks. They need to change their pickup process. Poor service and overpriced coffee.

Friendly, nice atmosphere. I ordered the breakfast sandwich with a fried egg, ham & cheese on a bagel along with a green smoothie and it was delicious. Lots of veggie options, too. Enough electrical outlets, wifi bandwidth, and caffeine to knock out an entire morning’s work in about 30 minutes.

Friendly cafe with decent food and coffee. I stopped here on my way North to work and get lunch. Wifi was fast enough for a Zoom meeting. It was a little loud if you have to talk much on meetings but if not, it was great for working. The prices seem a bit steep for the quality of food and coffee. The coffee was a bit weak, but I like really strong coffee. The food was decent but nothing special. I think the best part is the friendly staff. I would stop again if in Globe.

Great stop off the highway to relax and have some coffee. Very kid friendly. Clean restrooms. Even has some toys to keep kids busy. Plus it’s a block away from a playground with a train engine. Highly recommend for traveling families.
