Food was amazing! Banh mi was assembled oddly but still delicious, and I found myself wishing for one more salt and pepper wing. It also feels good to know your money supports the little homie doing his math homework in the back. A great small business who I wish great success for.

Decent spot for vietnamese food. The pork banh mi was excellent, the pork was delicious and the veggies were fresh. The vermicelli was pretty good, the egg rolls were exceptional, but the nuac mam sauce could have been a little stronger for my taste. The cha Sui rice plate was only ok, but a big fan of the flavors, but that could just be my taste. All in, I was satisfied with my meal and the service was friendly.

Nice small dining room / hole in the wall Vietnamese spot. I’ve been on a grilled bbq pork banh mi hunt and this place is the definitive winner. The spring rolls and the egg rolls were phenomenal as well definitely would recommend this spot

My husband and I eat Vietnamese pretty often so were also skeptical of the high rating. We have to say, it is pretty well deserved. The food here was so fresh, well marinated tender meats, and great portions. We left very happy and looking forward to trying the Banh Mi next time!

I was quite skeptical when I saw that Viet shack has a perfect 5-star rating on yelp – that is *very difficult* for any restaurants to achieve and I saw for myself why they have earned that rating. In my opinion, Viet shack is not just the best Vietnamese cuisine in Tempe/Phoenix, they are one of the best authentic Asian American cuisine in Phoenix, period. Could not believe how fresh and delicious their food is with their unbelievably competitive pricing!

Great food, service, and value! I ordered the Grilled Pork Bowl and several appetizers to sample. Everything exceeded my expectations, especially the Cheese Wontons. The prominent green onion flavor gave this traditionally unimpressive Asian-American restaurant staple an exciting Vietnamese twist. Absolutely delicious! I look forward to trying the rest of their offerings. You will not regret visiting Viet Shack.

Awesome place, the food was real good. Fresh, vibrant , wholesome food. The employee and owner were amazing, very welcoming and pleasant to all to came in. Will be going back for more. The lotus root salad was fantastic. Loved the coffee as well.
